Everything was still the same. Time still flies really fast in this place. Now, it's been a week since you were brought to the beach. You briefly reunited with Yua and Kenzo at a game once, but you told them that you're better off by yourself now. You didn't want to drag them into this whole 'Beach' thing.
You bid your farewell to them. As little as the time you spent together, you had that little trust in them. They were the ones who guided you around when you found yourself stuck in this strange world. They were the ones who shared everything they knew about this place.
On the other hand, as you bid them goodbye, your relationship on the Beach was a whole different story. You had found yourself to grow a closer relationship with the people you met. Kuina and Chishiya.
Just like Yua and Kenzo, there were two people who guided you through this new place, the girl you met at the club, Kuina, and of course, Chishiya. But despite the three of you having acquainted with each other, you seemed to have this other growing relationship with the blonde. You thought it was impossible and quick and tried your best to face those feelings. But you couldn't deny that there was something different.
But, you didn't really want to show the residents of the Beach, most importantly your fellow militants that you were acquainted with the two, especially Chishiya. Your colleagues, Niragi and Aguni, had visibly shown their dislike for Chishiya as they saw him as a threat.
You didn't care though. You didn't really consider them as anything close as you didn't have any similarities with them, or that you would ever have any. You were simply in the same sect as them. That's where the similarities stopped.
That was, until they had forced you to take a 'test'.
A so-called test to see if you were fit into being one of them. A Militant.
After you were recruited, you just accepted it. You knew there was no going back. If you try to resist or decline, there is a possibility of you ending up dead. Especially when Niragi is around.
"Go on, (Y/N)." He said from beside you. You were standing in front of two people who were kneeling down and pleading for their lives. "Do it." He got in closer, his fingers brushing over your hand, as if he was telling you to suck it up and kill these traitors in one swift move.
You let out a breath, finger hovering over the trigger of your gun. Ever since you got into this place, you've never killed anyone, sure you've witnessed people die in numerous ways, but you weren't the one who was pulling the trigger. And you knew looking vulnerable and weak in front of Militants wasn't going to help you.
But you had to do this, you thought. To survive. And as if he was reading your mind, Niragi spoke up. "You have to get blood on your hands every once in a while," He whispered. He was the snake. A snake tempting and whispering in your ear to bite the apple, or in your case, to pull the trigger.
"It's the only way you can survive in this godforsaken world."
Pull it.
You'll die if you don't.
If you want to live.
Please.
Pull it!
With the voices in your head and Niragi's own, you pulled the trigger. It was quick that you didn't realize you had already fired two times, killing the two traitors in an instant. You heard Niragi laugh as he pulled away from you, celebrating. He got what he wanted. You finally had dirt on your hands.
