Harry was afraid to be hurt by people, so he kept to himself. He lived alone in his empty apartment and only socialized when he talked to management or his fans. Some may think he was lonely, but he was content with his life. He was alone and he could focus on his career, and there was no one there who could hurt him. Not again, anyways.
Almost a year ago, Harry had released his album. That meant the touring was done, there were no songs to be recorded and the world expected a new album to be released in a year. After all, it's a year of touring, a year of songwriting and doing it all over again. So Harry was quite alone, he went to the studio or stayed at home while always focussing on writing songs. On writing the most beautiful songs or getting the newest hit.
Harry's apartment was pretty big, as he had a lot of money. Most days he was just sitting there, strimming his guitar of playing some random melody on the piano. He would sit there, in his empty living room with a bottle of water and a piece of paper to write lyrics on. He preferred to write his songs alone, although he still went to the studio to write with some others. His life seemed lonely, but only his management knew about his life and for Harry, it wasn't lonely, he was just alone.Louis, on the other hand, was afraid of something very different. Louis was afraid of being judged. By his parents, his management, or just the whole world really. It wasn't a good thing, as being a celebrity only caused judgement. But Louis managed, and that was the most important thing. He didn't do any crazy publicity stunts or was he in the news very often. He had a girlfriend and made sure his son was taken care of. He didn't make the most special music or tried all kinds of genres. He occasionally talked to some of the other members of One Direction and his life was... Well, it wasn't new. It was what people would like, but also what they would expect and by doing that Louis avoided most of the judgement. And if something would happen, Louis was sure the spotlight would soon be taken by Harry. As the pop star did all kinds of things that could only deliver him critique and honestly, Louis didn't know how Harry did it.
The two hadn't talked to each other in a long time, as Louis was afraid of all the judgement and Harry was afraid to be hurt. After all, Harry was bisexual and may have had a crush on Louis, which he was sure Louis wouldn't reciprocate.
These two particular lads now stood frozen in place, facing each other with horrified looks on their faces. After a long time, they finally saw one other again and any hope of holding on to the lives they were so content with shattered. Louis knew that his life would never be judgement-free if he had Harry Styles in his life and Harry knew that he could never be alone without being lonely if Louis Tomlinson was in his life.
Louis was the first to act. He turned around with an almost dramatic turn on his heels and he hurried to leave this place, wherever he was at the moment. His thoughts were clouded as he was remembered of Harry. Harry Styles, with his dimples and his soft curly hair, with his beautiful green eyes and his voice that was hard to avoid as he was on the radio all the time nowadays. Harry Styles with his loving words he always so carefully chose and his smile that could light up the room like it was a ray of sunshine.
Harry just stood there dumbfounded, as Louis left. A sigh of relief left his mouth, although it is questionable if it really was relief and not complete and utter sadness. He knew Louis avoided him, and Harry himself would rather not be reminded Louis Tomlinson, with his beautiful blue eyes you could drown in and his brown locks that have grown since the last time Harry saw him, since the last time Harry was able to run his fingers through it. Louis Tomlinson with his idiotic dream where he had no judgement and all of his songs about his so-called lovers, though Louis had never truly loved them. With his hands that Harry loved to hold and the fact that in Harry's eyes Louis didn't need to worry about judgement since he was already perfect.
This particular encounter made both men linger in their thoughts. Harry's lonely dream of peace may not be as perfect as it previously seemed. He felt dreading loneliness as he watched Louis walk away from him, and loneliness was something he hadn't felt in years even though he was always alone. All those years ago, when the band split up, it had hurt less because he wasn't truly alone. But now the terrifying fact that he had no one dawned on him like a ton of bricks.
Louis was in a desperate panic to get away from Harry, as he would be all over the news if anyone saw them. Everyone would call him a lair, maybe even see this as a confirmation that Larry was, in fact, real. Louis started trembling by even the thought of all the articles that would be written about him, and all the false assumptions that would be made.'Look, I didn't want to see him! He just appeared and I didn't know what to do so I just got out if there.' Louis said, panic still hearable if you knew him well. His manager nodded with an understanding look on her face. She knew what Louis was afraid of, and wasn't going to be the one to tell him to throw it all away as some of his worries were very reasonable. 'Did anyone see you?' The manager - Eliza - asked. 'No, no I don't think so.' Louis said, a little more calmed down. 'Then you have nothing to worry about.' Louis gave her a thankful smile and went to sit down, thinking about Harry. He wondered how Harry had been doing, how he managed the break up of the band and how he seemed so carefree. How his life just seemed so perfect, while Louis was sitting here worrying about every single opinion out there.
Once Harry got home, he couldn't help but feel lonely in his once so cosy apartment. The only solution he could think of was a beautiful lad with a brown fringe. Suddenly, Harry picked up his phone and looked through his hundreds of contact until he found the one he had been looking for. He clickted on the call button and soon enough the words Calling LouBear... appeared on his screen.
'Who is it?' Louis' manager asked, curious about who would be calling Louis at this time of the day. 'I uh-' Louis did not expect this. 'I don't know.' He said, even though the name Hazza was brightly displayed on his screen.
'Hello?' Louis answered once he was certain no one could hear the conversation. 'Meet me at the place. I need to talk to you.' Harry said. There was a silence that felt really long for both men, but in reality only lasted for a couple of seconds. 'Please...' Harry added and at that moment, Louis didn't know how to refuse - Harry had never begged Louis like this for something. 'I'll be there.' Louis said.
