When Louis saw Harry standing there, he dropped his single red rose and wrapped Harry in a much-needed hug. 'What is the flower for saying sorry?' Louis asked silently. A small but sad smile appeared on Harry's face, but he was feeling a little bit better already. 'A bouquet of purple hyacinth.' Harry muttered with a raspy voice. Louis puller back from the hug and picked up his rose while looking Harry directly in his emerald green eyes. 'I should have gotten those...' Harry sniffed his nose a bit at the sight of the rose. 'No, this is perfect.' Louis smiled at him thankfully, and Harry motioned for him to come in after he accepted the rose. Harry's apartment was very... colourless. It was like some tragic designer spit his unpersonalized design out, and nobody had changed anything - except for the mess of plates and empty cans. 'I should do something with the place, I know..' Harry suddenly felt embarrassed as he rarely had someone over so he never actually thought about how his home looked, he had just accepted it as it was. Louis chuckled awkwardly, 'It's fine.' and gave Harry a comforting smile. The two plopped down on the couch and Harry wanted to say something, but Louis was first. 'I said something terrible, something I knew would hurt you.' He had apology and guilt written all over his face. 'It was wrong and I wish I never said anything. I.. I don't know how to make it up to you and I'm surprised you even let me in.' Harry looked at Louis sadly, but also with a small - and barely visible - smile. 'I've been a mess, you know.' Harry said, almost laughing. 'I let you take over my whole life, I felt like I had nothing else left after you said that.' Louis tried to grab Harry's hand, but he pulled away. 'I realise I shouldn't have let you do that, but I also realise it was amazing to finally open up to someone.' Louis looked defeated, as he thought Harry was going to reject his apology. 'But..' Louis up, suddenly a little hope in his eyes. 'I'll forgive you if you take back what you said.' Before Harry could protest Louis gave him another hug, clinging onto Harry like his life depended on it.
I take back what I said. In fact, I love talking to Harry. I was just scared of what people would say, I'm sorry
Louis showed Harry the tweet, and a content smile appeared on his face. 'Thank you.' Harry said, looking Louis in his sky blue eyes that looked like they belonged to Harry, and Harry alone. Louis was a bit scared, but he had realised he could do everything to try and avoid the judgement, but there will always be someone judging you. If you can just let the fear of judgement go - even a little bit - you can be yourself, and be happy. Harry, on the other hand, had realised he should let people in - not only Louis. Because if you depend on one person and one person only, you still haven't truly opened up. And besides that, you will only get more hurt if that one person hurts you. Both men helped each other and got someone in their lives along with it.
'Look, it snows!' Louis said suddenly, completely forgetting what they were previously talking about. It was a while after Louis' apology, and the two had started chatting about some random subjects. Harry laughed a bit at Louis excitement and looked outside, where it had started snowing vigorously. 'Hey, Lou?' Harry asked, also happy because of the snow, 'Let's go outside!' Both lads were suddenly excited like a child who gets to go off the slide. Both of their coats weren't too thick, but they managed. Louis had proposed to have a walk through the city, as there were probably a lot of Christmas decorations that both of them hadn't seen yet. 'What colour reminds the snow you of?' Harry asked once they were outside. 'Light blue, I think. What about you?' Harry thought about it a little longer than Louis but eventually said: 'Soft purple.' Louis giggled at Harry's reaction, and Harry looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. 'What's so funny?' He asked with a hurt tone, but Louis could hear he was sarcastic. 'That answer just fits you, I don't how to explain it.' Harry excepted his explanation and continued to look around. They came across a long tunnel, completely made out of Christmas lights. 'Let's go through there!' Harry said happily to Louis, as he grabbed Louis by his wrist and pulled him along. Once they reached the tunnel, Harry let go of Louis' wrist and instead intertwined their fingers. 'You know that rose you gave me, it stands for love.' Louis hummed in acknowledgement as he proceeded to look through the lights, where he could see them reflecting on the water. 'Non-platonic love...' Harry said, this time a little more silent. Louis looked away from the water and into Harry's eyes, letting him know Louis heard what he said. 'And you gave it to me?' Harry now looked nervous saying that, while Louis stood there completely relaxed. 'I did.' Louis said, and Harry's eyes widened a bit. 'Can I kiss you?' Louis asked, and a smile appeared on Harry's face as Louis leaned closer to the other boy. Harry's hands found their way to Louis lower back as he pulled him closer, and for a moment the two just looked into each other's eyes while the light of the Christmas lights reflecting in them. 'Now kiss me you fool.' Harry whispered while closing his eyes. A soft kiss was shared between them as Louis brushed his hands through Harry's curls and Harry pulled Louis as close as possible. Everything felt perfect at that moment as their kiss was full of love. Harry smiled as they pulled apart to gather their breath, still holding Louis close and hoping that this beautiful moment will never end.
