Jordan have lived on Northeast Planet for ten years. When he first moved there at the age of seven because of his father's disappearance, he loved it there.
But he soon realized the dark and horrible truth of the planet. The planet was created almost a thousand years ago by the kind, old, and wise ruler, Kornol the Great. His second-in-command, Ginold, seemed as wise as Kornol. But on the inside, he always had an egotistical feeling that he was better than everyone, including Kornol the Great. So one night, he attempted to murder Kornol by suffocation. However, Kornol, being the most powerful being on the planet, overpowered Ginold and kicked him out of his palace. In a fit of rage, Ginold created his own army and burned the palace to the ground, killing all of Kornol's servants. Kornol survived and escaped to a remote area to rebuild his palace.
In the meantime, Ginold and his army conquered the entire planet, and from then on, he became known as Emperor Ginold. Emperor Ginold started a reign of terror, executing anyone who tried to escape from the planet. Anyone he deemed unworthy would be subjected to horrendous and unimaginable torture.
Unfortunately for the evil emperor, Kornol made a magical book that will become a sword if you choose to trust the book. Anyone who is able to carry the sword is a person who trusted Kornol. But if you do not trust the book, then you do not have any access to the hidden sword, and you are subject to death.
There was also a prophecy that one day, a leader would take down Emperor Ginold. Five hundred years ago, an unnamed man was believed by everyone to be the leader. He attempted to take down Emperor Ginold, but on the day of his face off with the evil emperor, he went missing. Two weeks later, his corpse was found with a knife shoved through his skull. Another man claimed to be that leader, but at the last second, he rebelled against Kornol, and Emperor Ginold threw him down a tower and to his death. The true leader was yet to come.
Jordan was separated from his mother, and his mother eventually died. He grew up living with himself and his friends, Gary and Arnie.
One day, Jordan, Gary, and Arnie went outside to pick some fruit.
"So what will it be today?" asked Gary, a brown haired teenager with brown eyes. "Are we going to find gold?"
"Nah," said Jordan, a blonde haired teenager with also brown eyes. "Ginnie had been ruling this empire of his for nine years."
"Be quiet!" Arnie, a black haired teenager with blue eyes, almost yelled. "He has spies everywhere! If someone hears you calling the emperor Ginnie, and Emperor Ginold finds out, you can suffer the same fate as all the people he deemed 'unworthy!'"
"At least we have some money with us," said Gary.
"I don't get it," said Jordan. "Why are we living here? This is probably one of the worst places in the world. And Emperor Ginold is so abusive! He owns like everything, and he still hates his people."
"How many times do I have to tell you!" exclaimed Arnie. "Be quiet!"
"I'm seriously beginning to wonder about it," said Jordan.
"Wonder about what?" asked Arnie.
"Ironic how it's right there," said Jordan, pointing at an ancient book lying on the ground.
"It's that weird book," said Arnie. "It's that weird book that turns into a sword."
"Yeah, I know" Gary agreed.
"Let's take this home," said Jordan. "Maybe this book will save our lives someday."
"But what's really weird," said Arnie, "is that it only turns into a sword in front of a certain number of people. Most of my friends just say, 'This thing turns into a sword? What a piece of nonsense,' and the book never turns into a sword."
"We're just going to have to find out how his book works," said Jordan. And they walked home to eat.
