Chapter 9:

Third Person's POV:

They were all piled into two cars. Stiles's Jeep and Derek's car.

The jeep contained Thomas in the drivers seat, Newt next to him, Scott, Malia, and Lydia in the back.

In Derek's car was Liam, Derek, Gally, and Isaac. Along with Teresa who was tied up and knocked out.

Both cars were silent.

Newt's POV:

I looked at Thomas and all I wanted to do was hold his hand in mine but I didn't want to make this car ride even more awkward then it already was.

"So what's the plan Stiles?" Scott broke the silence and hearing that name made Thomas' grip tighten on the steering wheel.

"We use Teresa to put us inside the simulation. Once inside we will most likely wake up in the Maze.... then we just need to go to the last city." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He always does that when he's nervous or scared.

"Sounds simple enough." Scott nodded and sat back.

I placed a hand on Thomas' shoulder and his body seemed to relax "It's going to be fine Tommy. Don't worry."

We drove up to the building that had once held us captive for years. Thomas got out fo the car and turned around as everyone gathered around him.

His 'friends' seemed confused that we were looking to him for the plan which made me dislike them even more.

"Ok. I know that you people don't know exactly what W.I.C.K.E.D is but me and Newt know these people. We know how.... evil they are." He paused for a second and then continued "This isn't going to be some simple rescue mission. Some of us will die, so if you don't want to be collatoral damage I suggest you leave now." He waited to see if any of the pack would leave, but none did. They seemed a little out off by his bluntness, which made me realize that his past self hadn't been like my Thomas.

"Ok then let's go back to hell." I started walking towards the building and Thomas followed. The pack was hesitant but eventually was right behind us.

Thomas/Stiles' POV:

As I opened the door a wave of feelings started to go though me. Anger, Sadness, but the most prominnent was my hatred.

I could feel eveyrone watching me so I took a deep breathe and walked inside.

It was cold, and dark. In the distance a few lights flickered but not bright enough that it made a difference. The faint stench and coloring of blood remained in the hallway.

As if I was being controlled, my feet brought me through the halls. Until I finally landed in front of a door labeled

'THE SCORCH TRIALS'

I slowly raised my hand to the doorknob. When I finally touched it, I started to turn it.

I opened it and a breeze of cold air crept through making the hairs on my neck stand up. I walked in and saw rows of large glass tubes. Each had a screen sttacked to the front.

The first one we saw said

'Subject A1: Alby
Status : Deceased
Cause : Infected;Experimentation
Memory : Erased

I heard Newt let out a deep breath and I turned to see his eyes were glassy. I put my hand on his shoulder and he seemed to calm down a bit.

We walked further into the room and found my pod.

"Ok... Lydia and Isaac go wake up Teresa and tell her if she doesnt help us, I'll kill her myself." They seemed shocked but did as I said "As for the rest of your pack, you are going to find a pod near me and Newt." They nodded and started searching.

Derek stood in front of my pod reading it.

'Subject B6 : Thomas
Status : Alive
Memory : Altered

"What was it like?" He didn't look at me... I think it's because he didn't recognize me. But, I didn't recognize him either. I don't even recognize myself...

"It was hell. But it gave me my family so, in a way it was a gift." He looked at me and I nodded. I was about to open the pod when I saw Teresa walk in with Isaac and Lydia.

She ran towards me but I just gave her a cold glare. Newt stepped in front of me and she shyed away.

Newt turned to look at me and I brought him closer, wrapping my arms around him.

"We are going to make it out of this Tommy. We are going to save them." I nodded in his shoulder and breathed in his smell. It made my body relax and I just felt safe.

We both released our grip and stepped into our pods. Once closed, Teresa pressed a series of buttons. The pods started to fill slowly with water and my vision went black.
