[A/N: Ahhh... back from my break! Feels nice; couldn't stop thinking about you guys so here's the update you waited for!]
Jataro's POV:
"AH-! N-Nagisa..."
I awkwardly sat behind the bookshelf while staring stupidly at Nagisa. It was him chasing me? I... hasn't noticed.
"I'm sorry, you startled me..." I scratched my neck awkwardly.
"Jataro! What're you doing?! You should be sleeping... W-Why are you up! Someone could see you... Monaca could see you!"
"I know, I know... I'm sorry Nagisa! I just wanted to see something." I looked out at the window that wasn't too far away from where Nagisa was standing.
Putting my hands on the ledge, I clenched the softwood material and starred at the night sky.
"It's chaos, Nagisa..."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized how difficult it would be to get out of here.
My friends, they... they would forget about me...
Nagisa would forget about me...
Being out there would be so scary... I think we would...
Die.
Nagisa sat down next to me, hugging my back lightly.
"I know Jataro... it's really scary... but I promise... once we get out of here, I'll protect you no matter what."
I looked up at him, smiling lightly. A tear suddenly slipped from my eye and rolled down my cheek. Nagisa gasped as he wiped it to the side with his thumb lovingly.
"You seem... unconvinced... here..."
He bent down and kissed my cheek.
"That... that was from me. It means that you are loved and appreciated."
He kissed my forehead.
"That was from Masaru. It means he'll make sure you're okay. It means we can trust him to fight for us and keep us safe from anything."
He kissed my nose.
"That was from Kotoko. It means you're adorable and amazing, no matter what Monaca says."
He cupped both my cheeks and hugged me.
"And that was from the servant. Even he cares for you. If our plan is secure enough, he will come with us. There is nothing that will stop us from getting out here alright...? Nothing."
I smile tightly, hugging Nagisa back and kissing his cheek in the process.
Suddenly, I feel something tugging at my neck. I begin to choke as I'm yanked backwards away from Nagisa.
"AND THIS IS FROM MONACA!"
My hair gets tugged so I'm forced to turn around and look at the culprit.
I then become face to face with Monaca.
She
Heard
All or that...
We're so dead...
