Tsuna- 5 years old
Layla- 2 years old
Dante- 25 years old
———————————————————————Like Tsuna, this certain infant's birth wasn't all that appreciated by her parents.
But about three months after she was born, her father died in an accident, so only her mother was there to care for her. Even if said mother didn't actually care for her.
One day, when she was merely one year old, she was playing in the rain; her mother carelessly let her do what she likes, hoping she gets zapped by lightning so she wouldn't have to spend money on her anymore.
As the infant—who was named Layla—played in the rain, she got tired and fell asleep right on the spot in the harsh weather.
After about half of sleeping, she was deep asleep and was zapped by lightning, but was completely ineffective. Layla didn't feel it one bit. Her mother saw this, and thought she was dead due to the fact that she wasn't moving and she was just zapped by lightning. She grabbed her by the hair and threw her away on the sidewalk.

"Big bro! Can we get some cake from my favorite bakery?" A small brunette asked her older brother. She was wearing an expensive jacket around her long dress and a cream colored scarf around her neck and on her small hands were mittens.
"Sure, which one do you want today Tsuna?" Dante asked his adopted sister. He was wearing a dark coat over a grey dress shirt; complete with a black tie. On his feet were black boots that had a brand of his favorite fashion company. He wore a scarf similar to Tsuna's around his neck. In one of his hands there was a plastic bag full of treats.
He sure liked spoiling his little sister, that's for sure.
Turning around the corner, they made their way towards Tsuna's favorite bakery. There was a calm atmosphere before Tsuna spotted something—no, someone was lying on the sidewalk.
A girl, obviously younger than her (who was merely a two year old) was lying on the hard, cold sidewalk.
Where had Dante seen this before?
"Tsuna, the cake can wait. We have to help her" Dante told the younger girl, but it seemed she was way ahead of him as she was already running towards her without a second thought.
"Big bro! She's not moving and her hands are cold!" Tsuna yelled, holding the younger girls hand. Dante gave the plastic bag to Tsuna and quickly knelt down and placed his left hand over the unconscious girls nose while the right hand was holding the girls wrist, looking for a pulse.
Ending his anxiety, he found a pulse; although a weak one, it was still there.
"C'mon Tsuna, we have to get home" carrying the unconscious girl securely in one arm, he grabbed Tsuna's hand and started walking in a fast pace towards the carriage.
Just like last time.

Layla's head hurt. She felt dizzy. And she had no idea where she was. Opening her eyes, she squinted at the bright light before sucking it up and looking around the room.
Layla groaned again; the headache of hers really hurt!
She heard a door open; coming in was a brunette girl who looked older than her. Familiar round eyes worriedly looked at her.
"Eh?" She managed to say, albeit tiredly. The brunette gasped.
"Lambo! You're awake!" Tsuna squealed and hugged her tightly.
Layla's eyes were blank for a few moments when she finally realized why this person seemed so familiar. Green eyes widened "Tsuna-nee?"
Tsuna pulled away and nodded happily "though it's Tsunahime now".
Layla couldn't believe it; her Tsuna-nee was standing in front of her! Letting her body run on autopilot, she hugged her. "My names Layla now, Tsuna-nee" she muttered, already in tears that there was somebody who cared about her nearby.
Tsuna smiled, her lightning guardian WAS always one to show her emotions openly.
"You're awake?" A male voice came from the door. Leaning on the door frame was none other than Dante, holding a tray, smiling at them.
Layla had to take note of the striking resemblance between the man and Dino-nii.
"Y-yes" Layla answered dumbly, slightly feeling intimidated by the smiling man. Sure, he looked and acted like Dino (hell, he even SOUNDED like the blonde mafia boss) but she slightly understood Gokudera's dislike for adults now.
"That's good" Dante replied, setting the tray in front of Layla.
She stared at him in confusion.
"I heard her" he gestured to Tsuna "squeal and yell 'your awake', so I thought you must be hungry, right?" Looking at the tray, there was a bowl of soup in the middle, a bowl of viands on the side, a glass of juice in the left corner and a spoon and fork in the lower left side of the tray. All in all, it looked delicious.
"Hey, big bro, can we keep her?" Tsuna asked all of a sudden. And Layla swore that if she was drinking the juice right now, she would have spit it out in surprise. Instead, she choked on the soup.
"Tsuna!" Dante scolded "we can't just keep her! We have to get her back to her family!"
"No! Please don't make me go back there! Mommy doesn't love me! She wants me to get hit by lightning! She doesn't take care of me! She doesn't even bother to let me eat! I'm just a waste of space!" Layla couldn't really see anymore thanks to tears, but she continued crying "I-if...if...only I-I wasn't b-born!"
Dante mindlessly wondered what the hell was wrong with women these days.
"Shh...calm down, it's alright, we won't make you go back there" Dante said in hopes of calming the black haired girl down.
The move was ineffective!
"If it makes you feel better, you can live here as me and Tsuna's little sister!"
Awesomely, it worked.
That's Dante Cavallone for ya'
"E-Eh?" Layla and Tsuna looked at him in disbelief. Layla then glanced at Tsuna as if to say 'is this guy serious?' to which Tsuna shrugged.
Dante almost fell over, mental conversations at this early age!
He was feeling proud already.
God he felt like a father.
And the next day you could see Dante, Tsuna and Layla shopping for new clothes and other things to welcome a newly adopted sister in the family.
