(Alice's POV)

The Temple of Inheritance was a view to behold. I noted that the concept was a bit contradictory; why create a temple to unlock inheritances that you, yourselves had locked away? I could feel that for a brief moment Zeel was thinking the exact same thing but he mentioned nothing of it.

That sly fox will be the death of me, I swear. I could tell he had grown to slightly care about the kids, but he still put benefits beyond everything.

Though I could not speak the Felians language, I had enough understanding to catch a bit of the things Zeel didn't bother to mention, things like 'cosmic force', 'death of the old gods', 'run'.

The disadvantageous part of the nanites connection between me, Zeel, and Elizabeth was the fact that he doesn't know which memories we have access to.

Recently, he has locked off the more important ones but I could still see vague images that surround them. Apart from those sealed in the cube, I have free reign with all his other memories though a couple of them are blurred.

I believe he does not realize how close we actually are, when we first met he was akin to a puppy looking for a home, so he grew attached to me faster than anyone would expect of him - wanting to love, and be loved.

I know him more than he knows himself, that's why I always watch him closely to stop him from hurting himself. Zeel hurting himself was the same as him hurting others, I know the dreams he has at night sometimes.

The one where everything burns around him, and all the lives he has taken come back to take his own. The most concerning part of the dream was ... he burns them back like he didn't know it was his fault they died.

People say love is built on trust, and it's true; I know he trusts me to stop him when he goes too far. I never trust Zeel in situations such as this, I know his curiosity has the tendency to get the best of himself.

Hence, why I tethered him to this universe using Elizabeth, if she is going to be our companion then he can't do anything that would betray her too deeply.

"Let's go!" Zeel said with his usual stoic attitude. I could only sigh at the curiosity I see concealed deep within.

Even if I know Zeel, people are unpredictable beings, and Zeel was the master at being unpredictable.

"Where? They're many halls here? Which one is the right one?" John asked spinning around, confused from all the corridors in the temple.

"The Felians were a group of weird people, but remember they valued their voices the most so just go where the sound goes," Zeel said as he shouted nothing in particular, and the group realized that only one hall of the many would echo the sound.

Clearly, the expert on Felians, thank god for his caring sister; though from the memories I genuinely fear meeting that crazy girl called Catherine.

Then after a couple of minutes of walking, we realized that our legacies were suppressed. Then like an old Indiana Jone's movie; boulders, ionic beams, floor opening, and traps galore started occurring.

Had it only been the members of the Garde that came to this temple, they would have no doubt died here without their legacies, but my telekinesis was long before my legacies and has continually grown stronger over the years since.

When the ground opened up we would simply walk over it with my aid, boulders would scatter before they impacted us, the ionic beams would shoot at the other beams instead of us.

Basically, I did all the work as Zeel was examining the lay of the land with deep interest, which just worried me that much more.

Then we reached a circular chamber about 20 feet by 20 feet filled with designs of different Felians. The designs of the Felians were incredibly lifelike, almost as if The Felians stuck their own people in the wall to save them for posterity.

"What is this place?" Vishnu asked, speaking for the first time since we met a couple of hours ago.

"A memoir of all the Felians who fell?" asked Cindy, with Marina having the same guess.

"So when do we steal it, this has got to be worth something somewhere," Elizabeth buzzed in, with Stanley, John, Ella, Cindy, and Marina agreeing with her.

I watch Zeel for confirmation, up until now we haven't really explored or stolen anything because to us the materials were too primitive.

Based on the way Zeel was examining the engravings, I could tell he planned to steal them "To inherit the power of the Felians you have to touch the head of the engraving you are most drawn to,"

"It's that easy?" John asked suspiciously as I also agreed that things are never that easy.

"Of course not, you may have several callings, if you pick the wrong one you die. Also, Felians like to trick people into making bad deals, so beware," Zeel said nonchalantly.

"Don't worry I'll help you decide," I interrupted, I had a vague idea about what to do since I also had knowledge of the Felians.

"Elizabeth your primary ability is struma and novis, hence you would select the opposite of being invisible and storm, so the engraving to the bottom left represents desolate lands amongst the masses.

John your primary ability is speed and fast learning or mimicking, so you should choose the weakest and most hated of growth, the engraving on the bottom right.

Marina your primary ability is healing and adaptation so you should select the top corner, the engraving representing pain and lack of growth.

Vishnu from what I have seen you can teleport and shapeshift, so select the one below your feet, represents the earth's immovable and eternal lack of change.

Stanley, you are free to choose I don't really care if you live or die. But pick the one at the top of the ceiling it represents kindness and happiness, which is the opposite of the asshole you are.

Ella your Aeternus and dreynen means you have to select the engraving behind us, representing ever-growing old and inability to stop anything,"

After I finish with the explanations, Zeel claps and admires my ability to direct everyone with the limited knowledge I possess of the Felians.
