Talons Lie

( Sorry for the short page, the next one will be interesting I promise! )

Back at the clearing Grim tapped his paws against the ground, trying to remain calm as he'd wait for the assurance that his friend was still alive.

"Hey Grim, where is Talon?" Molly would smack her tounge against the roof of her mouth a few times as she'd approach the tom.

"Oh he just wanted to...to...to catch more prey." Grim shuffled his paws nervously, wincing at the wait to Molly's response.

"I dont beilieve you, what happened?" She'd make her way next to the larger tom, seeming concerned for her comrade that hadnt returned yet.

"Fine, we ran into some clan cats while we were searching for prey. They didnt see me but they saw Talon and chased him away." Grim mummbled, his words almost unreadable.

Molly would widen her eyes, "do not let Snake find out about this, he will kill the cats without thinking and it could ruin the plan."

Before Grim could give a weak remark, Talon would pad into the clearing with a mouse hanging from his jaws.

"hey, sorry I took so long, this mouse really gave me a run!" Talon laughed his lie off, becoming silent as he looked at the two cats that were not fazed.

"Grim told me, and Im not mad." Molly leaned into Talons ear, glancing to make sure Snake wasnt faced towards them, "Dont let Snake know about the cats you ran into." She'd quickly speak, turning her head away when she was done.

Talon nodded to the she-cat before facing Grim. "What the heck Grim! I had us covered." Talon huffed, obviously worn out.

"Sorry, she was going to claw it out of me anyways. You know im not the best at lying." He'd snarl, shifting his core to lay down.

Talons stomach churned as he remembered his encounter with the she-cat from the patrol. He'd try and force himself to sleep as he wanted the time to come faster.
