Leif POV

Meeting the Greek Godlings who my father spoke so highly of was... interesting. First, they believed me to be a threat. Then, embarrassing Artemis was just so much fun. Making Ares quake in his boots wasn't as fun as seeing their faces when Apollo started making Poems, haikus, and sonnets about meeting me, and what I was going to do to...and I quote, "the thundering fool".

Apollo was quite childish, but I didn't mind. I've never had a younger brother before. We spent a couple hours, with the three of us doing different archery challenges, while Ares sat off to the side, grumbling. I even got a little fancy by using the Bifrost to make small targets to pop up randomly downrange. Since they couldn't really access their domains, I didn't call upon the Hunt either. I used pure muscle memory.

"Ahhh no fair!"

I chuckled as Apollo whined again. He seemed to always come in third. Artemis and I were vying for first. 4/7 times I won and the other 3/7 she won. But this time Apollo whined even more.

"It's just not fair! I'm the God of Archery, but I can't access my Domain, which means that you can't use your domains either Leif! Plus, Artemis has more practice than me! Ugh."

Artemis snorted and laughed at Apollo.

"That sounds like a personal problem little brother. Practice makes perfect. Maybe if you stopped chasing maidens and started chasing prey, you might get a little closer to my skill."

Then Artemis turned to me, settling her piercing silver eyes on me.

"That being said, I thought you'd be better than that Leif. Cheating is a little beneath the son of Uncle Tyr, don't you think?"

She argued under the guise of fairness, but I could tell that she was a little miffed about not coming out on top. Part of it was sadness to not be connected to her... our Domain, but the rest of it was her competitive nature.

Boy, was I about to end her whole career. I smirked at her and spoke.

"Just what kind of cheating do you refer to, little Huntress?"

She turned to me, a flash of red brushing her cheeks. Whether it was from anger or embarrassment I could not tell.

"Using the Domain of the Hunt of course. That's cheating."

My smirk widened. This was going to be good.

"Then I shall repeat myself. What kind of cheating do you refer to, little Huntress?"

She cocked her head.

"You're using the Hunt to boost your accuracy. That's cheating of course."

I shook my head.

"Not even once Artemis. I didn't think it was just to not have an even playing field, so everything I have done with the two of you is purely muscle memory. Please, why would I have to cheat to have a good time?"

Apollo scrunched his face at me, obviously having a hard time focusing on his Domain of Truth. After a bit, his eyes widened.

"Lil sis... he's not joking. He didn't use his Domains at all. In fact, he isn't even using his godly speed or reflexes."

Artemis' silver eyes seemed to shine with surprise before she turned away and huffed. Yeah. She's definitely the competitive type of person. I was about to say something when a female voice floated over the fence.

"Ariel! Alex! Adam! Where are you? You do know it's been 4 hours since school ended?"

It took me a split second to place the names. Then I remembered that those were the names the Godlings were going by here in Midgard while they were mortals. And it clicked to me who she was. I thought it was her by her aura. I knew she wasn't Lucy or Laura. They both had calmingly mortal and wholly innocent auras. This aura though? It crackled with lightning fast intellect, a dangerous but controlled strength, and even had a calm air to it as well. If this wasn't Athena, I didn't know who it was.
