D didn't plan for anything to happen when he came to the party with Iwaizumi that night. He was just as interested in this as in all the previous ones.

Not at all.

It always went the same way.

He'd show up, girls would flirt with him, he'd drink, feel like shit and then regret it the next day.

Wearing a mask wouldn't make it any better. Who liked this masquerade shit anyway?

Some person handed him a white mask at the door insisting he put it on to go along with the theme. He didn't care enough to argue against it. His tall presence caught the eyes of all the girls as he made his way into the house, the white fabric  resting on his face perfectly contrasting his thick brown hair and deep brown eyes.

He downed another shot, having lost count of how many he'd already had, savoring the warm liquor coating his tongue. He craved that warmth, especially paired with the buzz afterwards. It felt better than usual tonight and shot after shot his regret seemed to fade away even more. He leaned against the wall in the corner of the room, the large house filled with so many people, but he felt completely alone.

He watched the bodies swaying to the blaring music, the vulgar touches between couples on the dance floor and the ones making out on every free surface. He couldn't understand it.

Not until her.

She walked into the room, a red cup in hand and a black lace mask resting against her face so perfectly that it seemed like it was made just for her. Her figure caught his attention initially, his half lidded eyes raking over her body from behind his mask. The tight black dress clung to her body, allowing him to take in every curve.

The alcohol in his system didn't help him with being discrete because she noticed.

Their eyes met from across the room.

Chills went up and down his spine. He narrowed his eyes, waiting for her to look down first, but she didn't. She stood there, looking right back at him from her place on the opposite side of the room, leaning back against the counter with the empty cup she grabbed when she entered in hand.

She audaciously held his gaze, her lips curling up into a smile because she knew damn well he couldn't look away. Before he knew it he was making his way over to her. It was like something else took control of his body and his mind as he took his place beside her.

"What do you want to drink?" he asked her, placing his palm on the counter she was leaned back against.

He had to lean forward, his deep voice reaching her over the blaring music in the other room.

"Whatever you're having is fine." she replied.

Tooru nodded, grabbing the vodka off the counter, opting for the one that hadn't been opened yet. She looked up at him, her piercing gaze boring into his as he reached for her cup. He tensed when their fingertips touched. He could see her body language in response to the slight inadvertent contact as well, but her eyes didn't waver.

He poured the liquid into her cup.

"What's your name?"

"Riku"

"Im Tooru."

He didn't know how it all played out, it all happened so fast. They went from being in the kitchen to being pressed up against one another on the dance floor. He was entranced by her eyes that held him hostage under the flashing lights. His hands were on her waist and then in her hair as he pulled her against him.
