We then cut to the Autobots driving through the streets of Washington back to Underbase, Spike sitting in the driver's seat of Bumblebee's vehicle mode complaining about how he can't believe they're giving into the Decepticons demands, saying that they should be fighting back not being forced to leave the planet. Bumblebee tells Spike that he understands his frustration but the Decepticons agreed to leave the planet if they agreed to exile themselves and that we have to do what we must in order to make sure they never harm the planet again. the Autobots then finally arrive at the Underbase where we see the Xanthium being brought out to docking bay by N.E.S.T. transport trucks. the Autobots then transform into their robot modes followed by Chip being amazed that the Xanthium is still intact even after the Metroplex's destruction. Epps explains to Chip that N.E.S.T. personnel recovered it from the wreckage of the Metroplex and put it back together. Optimus tells Spike that what Director Faireborn said was true, this was all his fault and that he should have put Cybertron first before saving the humans and that he was wrong to trust both Mirage and Sentinel. Spike asks Optimus what he's gonna do saying that he's gotta have some kind of plan to come back and beat the Decepticons, however Optimus tells Spike that there is no plan, all the while the other Autobots start packing their things and loading them into the Xanthium. Optimus then kneels down to tell Spike, Carly, Kicker, Chip, and Elise that for the five years he's known them they've proven themselves to be worthy of fighting alongside the Autobots and that they're good friends before giving them the parting words "till all are one" before the other four Autobots kneel down to tell each of their humans goodbye. Wheeljack says goodbye to Chip and Wheelie, Arcee says goodbye to Carly, Blurr says goodbye to Elise, and Spike hugs Bumblebee having an emotional goodbye scene telling him "I'll never forget you bee, you'll always be my first car" followed by Bumblebee telling Spike "and you'll always be my first human" before Optimus tells the other Autobots to hurry up and Bumblebee, Arcee, Wheeljack, and Blurr all hop aboard the Xanthium. Simmons places his hand on Spike's shoulder telling him "years from now they're gonna ask us... where were you when they took over the planet? we're gonna say... we just stood by and watched". the Xanthium then blasts off into space before we cut to Megatron standing atop the bridge of the Nemesis watching the Xanthium's launch before contacting Starscream informing him that the Autobots have left the atmosphere. we then cut to the seekers in their robot modes flying through space followed by Starscream telling Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Slipstream "alright boys, the Autobots are in our sights. let's turn them into space debris!" followed by the four seekers transforming into their jet modes to circle the Xanthium. Optimus notices the seekers from the ship's window and orders the Autobots to get in the escape pods. Optimus, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Arcee, Blurr, and Wheeljack all hop into escape pods and eject before the seekers could notice followed by the seekers firing a barrage of missiles at the now-empty Xanthium blowing it up into a million pieces. Spike, Carly, Kicker, Chip, and Elise watch in horror as they spot the massive explosion in the sky. a tear sheds from Spike's eye before he gets down on his knees and slams his fist into the ground, exclaiming "THEY LIED TO US! THEY LIED TO US!" while Carly and Kicker try to calm him down while Chip comforts a crying Elise, giving her a hug before Wheelie rolls up to Elise and affectionately beeps at her. Chip tells Elise that he'll always be there for her and that he loves her. after that, we cut to Megatron sitting on his throne aboard the Nemesis where Starscream informs him over intercom that the ship has been destroyed and the Autobots with it. Megatron is pleased to hear the news, but is also feeling disappointed by not getting the chance to kill Optimus himself. Sentinel asks Megatron what troubles him, saying that the Autobot rebels and Optimus prime with them are now dead. Megatron tells Sentinel that it's because it wasn't by his hands. Sentinel then reprimands Megatron for his unhealthy obsession with wanting to kill Optimus, telling him "you never knew how to let go of a grudge". Megatron tells Sentinel "you don't control me anymore, I am no longer your student" followed by Sentinel telling Megatron that Optimus was never this petulant. Megatron then clenches his fist telling Sentinel that he agreed to the deal because he needed him for the pillars, without them Sentinel is useless to Megatron. Sentinel is frustrated with Megatron's temperament issues and leaves the room walking past Mirage who tells Sentinel "speaking as a fellow Turncoat, I never wanted the Decepticons to win the war. nor did I want the Autobots to win either, I just wanted this war to end regardless of who wins or loses. I don't like Megatron, I don't agree with his beliefs nor do I support the genocide of an entire planet but I chose to side with him because I thought he was fighting for a good cause. and I can tell you feel the same way as well. don't take me for a fool, I saw the sorrow in your eyes when you killed Ironhide and the twins at the behest of Megatron" which makes Sentinel feel guilty for his actions.
