Win got extremely flustered and suddenly became conscious of something tough below that was pressing on him.

His wild thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Panicking, he accidentally shoved Bright off the sofa and got to his feet.

"Hey dumba- Win..?" Gigie said as soon as she saw him.

"Hello!" the nervous boy greeted. "I was just about to leave."

Gigie peeked around until she saw Bright who was on the floor, passed out.

"What happened to him?" she asked with concern in her voice.

"He was just too drunk that I had to bring him here." Win replied.

Gigie approached the drunk man. Her eyebrows furrowed with confusion.

She knew that Bright had high alcohol tolerance so there must be a reason why he ended up this way.

"I'll be going, bye!" Win waved at her and left quickly.

He gripped onto his hair as he frustratedly recall what just happened.

Why didn't I push him away before we could kiss? Win thought.

He had no idea how he was going back to the apartment without any transportation at that hour.

It was until Gigie tapped him on the shoulder from behind and offered to bring him home. Win just accepted it because he had no choice.

Gigie broke the silence in the car.

"So.. Where did you see him when he was drunk?" she queried.

Win couldn't think of any other possible answers without making Bright look bad so he just said the truth.

"He showed up in our apartment. I may have accidentally brought him in.." he trailed off.

Gigie's eyes widened with a loud, "Huh?! Shit."

"I rushed him to the toilet because he was about to vomit." Win explained.

The car arrived in front of the building. Before the boy could get out, Gigie stopped him.

"Win, if the producer sees the camera footage, please tell him the best excuse. I can't afford having his reputation ruined because it's already bad enough." she told him with a hand massaging her temples.

Win nodded and walked back home. As he changed back to his robe and crawled to bed, he saw Love who was sleeping beautifully.

His eyes moved to her red lips. They were different to him. It wasn't the plump and peach pink lips that urged him to kiss everytime he sees them. It wasn't the same lips that smiled at him whenever he sees them in the hallway or elevator.

It wasn't Bright's.

He sighed heavily and laid down beside Love facing away.

Father wanted this. He said it's for our own good, Win comforted himself in order to stop the tears in his eyes from falling.

"Good morning!" Love exclaimed, holding a tray of breakfast in her hands.

Win stretched out his arms and smiled cheekily. "Wow~ was I that good in massaging?"

Love had a beam on her face and answered, "It's our first day sleeping together so of course today's kinda special."

Win took the tray and placed it on the bed table. He gestured to Love to join him. Together, they heartily ate the seafood fried rice.

They only needed a cameraman this time as it was their personal bonding time together. Their plan was to go grocery shopping, bake cookies and distribute them to the neighbours as a greeting.

With a terrible hangover, Bright woke up on the floor, a pillow under his head and a blanket on top of him.

He cursed at himself and stood up immediately. Checking the time, it was still 3am in the morning. With half-opened eyes, he caught Gigie with her head resting on the living room table.

This girl is sleeping in my house again, she might as well pay the rent for me. Bright grinned.

He woke Gigie up to let her sleep in the guest room instead. She shook her head and stared at him.

"Why did you drink so much?" she asked with seriousness clear on her face.

Bright stayed silent because he knew she will turn into an old lady when nagging.

Gigie sighed and stood up to leave.

What is she so mad for? Bright wondered.

He grabbed her arm when she walked out of the door and was taken aback when he saw tears in her eyes.

"I tried my best, Bright. I was always by your side no matter how much you annoy me or trouble me, but in the end, it's always Win for you. You got drunk because of him right?"

She spilt out her words like they were being held in for so long.

Bright had his lips shut because she wasn't wrong.

It was always Win for him.

With that, Gigie walked away.

Bright felt an ache in his heart as he watched her slowly disappear.

Other than sadness, there was something stronger.

It was the courage to tell Win everything.
