When the Blossom Tree Blooms *On Hold*

Chapter 8

I got up out of my seat and moved past Dakota, I then grabbed the collar of his shirt. I was furious I needed to know what happened with him and Crystal. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked back... It was Dakota trying to calm me down.

"I kind of... um... made eye contact and..."He said then paused. I let go of the collar of his shirt. I couldn't hurt another wolf when they found the one they wanted to mate with. I sat down, the bus was still moving so the bus driver was about to yell at me.

"I swear to god if you hurt her, I will kil-" I was interrupted by Greyson.

"I know... Plus, I wouldn't even be able to think about doing that." He said.

"She was my only pack before Dakota came... So, I always tried to protect her, but she always ended up protecting me." I said quietly, trying to hold back tears in my eyes. Dakota hugged me, and this time I calmed down.

The rest of the ride was me being held by Dakota, and Greyson watching over Crystal to make sure no one trys anything. When we got to school, I gathered my stuff for my classes and slowly went to them. I hated the new schedule, because I couldn't see Dakota at all. But, I was closer to all my classes now. All my major classes passed and now it was time for lunch. I was about to sneak into the room Dakota and I usually eat at, but then someone pulled me back. It was Crystal, with a forced smile. She was furious that I tried to sneak to see Dakota.

We finally entered the cafeteria, and I was dragged to her table. When we reached the table I saw Dakota and Greyson sitting there. I had to pinch myself to make it seem real. It was definitely real, and now my arm hurt, but I got to sit next to my mate. I sat down next to Dakota and hugged him. I'm guessing he missed me a little too much because it felt like he broke my back with the hug.

"Can't... Breathe..." I said and he let go. But, everyone at the table was laughing at us.

"Sorry..." He said looking down.

"It's ok." I said then kissed his cheek.

"By the way, how did you find seats at this table?" I asked. The table is usually packed with all the popular kids.

"Greyson invited me." He said pointing to his brother.

"Crystal invited me." Greyson said pointing to my blushing sister.

I hugged my sister and she hugged me back. I was so happy, so I chatted up a storm. Crystal and the twins were amazed I could talk so much. But all I really talked about was wolf stuff, so Crystal didn't understand much. I saw Greyson stare at Crystal like she was a big pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I just laughed at him, but he got angry and shoved Dakota into me.

Lunch ended but my smile was still on my face. People were whispering about me, talking about how they thought I could never smile. But I just brushed it off, since I was in such a good mood, and I wouldn't let them ruin it for me.

Classes ended and I was about to get on the bus, when someone pulled me back. I then got pushed into a car and the person was speeding off somewhere. I put my hand on a lump that has formed on my head and felt something wet. I removed my hand and looked at it. I was bleeding. My vision was starting to get blurry, so I tried to catch a glimpse of who abducted me. It was...
