When the Blossom Tree Blooms *On Hold*

Chapter 10

Dakota's P.O.V

When I got close to the hide out, I smelled blood in a different direction. It was a mix of two types of blood, I knew one was Blake's so I just guessed the other one was Amber. I ran as fast as my wolf form could go. I needed to go faster but I couldn't, I was nearing my limit. When I got close and saw what was happening, I was about to pounce into the fight and take Amber's place in it. But, Greyson blocked me, and shook his head. So I backed down. I had to watch my mate get hurt, I had to hear her howl in so much pain. Right when I was about to jump out, I saw Amber bite Blake's neck. Blake then passed out from the blood lost. When I saw Amber do the same, I shifted back to my human form and yelled her name.

Tears were coming out of my eyes, I checked for her pulse. It was still there but it wasn't doing so good. I was about to shift when Greyson came up and stopped me.

"You don't have enough strength, Dakota." He said then shifted. "I'll do it so when she wakes up she'll see you."

I nodded and carefully put Amber on his back. I made sure she didn't fall off for the trip. Greyson looked at me and I nodded. He started to sprint then broke into a run. All I could think about was Amber, and how she was doing. I walked home and took a shower. I then dried off and put on my black jeans, and dark blue t-shirt.

I walked down my stairs and out my front door. I took my brother's keys for his motorcycle, and road off to a flower shop. I got black and red roses for my mate. I got back on the motorcycle and road off to the hospital. I asked for her room, and they told me the way to it. When I reached the room, I saw her on the bed, and Greyson was nowhere to be found. I am guessing he went home before she would wake up. I quietly walked in her room and closed her room door. I sit down next to her and held her hand. From that touch she opened her eyes, they were the beautiful golden yellow that definitely was his mates.

She looked at me and smiled. I took out the roses I got her and saw her face light up even more. I smiles and gave them to her. She looked up at me with the most beautiful smile. After a while past, I was about to grab the roses and put them on the table but, she said she wanted to hold them longer. I stayed over night to make sure Blake never came and tried to take her life. I never did know why they were fighting in their wolf forms.

The morning started to show itself when I finally fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of Amber trying to stand. She still wasn't healed enough so I had to hurry and catch her before she fell. She gave me a weak smile, and I lifted her up. I could tell she didn't like me seeing her so weak, but I was happy I could help her. I helped her to her destination, and then brought her back to her bed. I picked her up and put her on the bed, which made her give me a surprised look. I smiled and kissed her forehead.

Then the doctor pulled me out of the room for some news about Amber. The news he told me, surprised me.
