Chapter 6: The Assault

Everyone else stood in guard as Sally ordered for the gates to open, they opened them and in that instant every Freedom Fighter ran off to Mobotropolis leaded by Tails which was close to the HQ, it was also close to the place where Sonic died 10 years ago, in that forest after repairing the crater a statue of Sonic was built out of stone. It was built very precisely resembling Sonic's face features, torso, arms, and legs very closely, it was almost as if Sonic himself turned to stone, the only difference was that it was 10 times bigger. It resembled a memorial of blue hero's sacrifice, there were a lot of flowers placed near the statue as well, the statue itself resembled Sonic smiling with a thumb up, which was his usual victory pose. It was built a year after his death by Freedom Fighters to commemorate their leader and friend, Knuckles helped a lot with the statue because he knew how to manipulate stone very well, he is the one who made his statue look so realistic. Tails would usually come near the statue to relax or calm down after a tough mission, he would often talk with him about his problems or misunderstandings, it would help him feel better.

After Sonic's death Tails had matured a lot, he realized what it truly meant to be a hero. When Sonic was still alive Tails would sometimes think Sonic only cares for glory and gains being a hero gives, it was mostly because he could leave him hanging sometimes. He regretted every doubt or a bad thought he had for Sonic as he realized that being a hero means you must make decisions for the good of the many. It was not just about him, Sonic had to make sure the whole Mobius is safe from evil, he was very selfless in his actions. He knew that he, as his adopted younger brother had to carry on his legacy. It was also because villains who were afraid of Sonic while he was alive became more active after his death, he knew he had to get stronger and fast, he trained like crazy since he was 10 and became a fighting expert, gained a lot of knowledge on technology, and trained his stamina now being able to fly 3 times longer than 10 years ago.

He also changed in terms of personality, he was now more mature, calm, serious, responsible, and wise. He developed these skills while being the new leader because he knew that the fate of Freedom Fighters lied in his hands.

Freedom Fighters rushed through the forest and got close to the city; they saw hordes of robots waiting for them, Tails ordered the group to stop which they all obeyed.

It took some time to Tails to analyze the situation, they were all guarding the city so no one would be able to enter the city.

Tails primed his buster, Cream stood right next to him in battle stance as he ordered for the rest of them to charge

That is when a huge battle started

Every Freedom Fighter under the lead of Antoine charged towards the robot army

Antoine did not change much in terms of personality, he did become a lot more brave, selfless, and confident than he was a decade ago and now he is using 2 swords instead of one. He also became more muscular due to the training he went through and fully learned English, so he did not confuse it with French anymore

When they clashed a lot of robotic bodies already fell to the ground, Tails did not have time to hang around

"Antoine, listen up! I will go after Snively, you take this front alright?"

"Got it, good luck Tails!" he waved at him with one of his swords, at that moment one robot jumped behind his back with intention to attack him but Antoine just spun around and vertically sliced the robot in half. He then ran and began slicing the robots in various directions, then he stood with his arms crossed, he then dashed forward slashing a X sending robots flying and tearing them to pieces at the same time.

Bunnie was shooting the robots that were coming for her, she developed a super blaster which was like Tails's hyper beam but is weaker and less tiring. After shooting some robots with her laser she activated her super blaster causing a great beam of energy to appear from the blaster that was wide as she was and started moving it to take out the robots, she was successful as all the robots around her were vaporized. She can move her arm around while the beam is shooting for 5 seconds. She then decided to catch a breath before flying with her robotic legs to help Antoine.
