Chapter 6

After an amazing night and a very pleasant breakfast with Henry I went home to work.
Henry wanted me to stay but I couldn't work with him around and to be honest, I needed a break.

A break from him. The complete and utterly desire that is him..
I also needed to process everything that I told him.

During the night we chatted and he saw all of my scars, touching them carefully.
"Are you sure you are okay now?" He said with a clenched jaw.
"Yes, I'm sure Henry" I said with a weak smile.

I could feel his anger.
Not towards me of course, but to the man that caused them.
It was alot for him to process as well.

While trying to think of something else I dived into my work.
I had a few new songs for Ed.
They felt good but I needed some help with the music, as I picked up my phone to call him I saw that I had three missed calls from Sam..

Jen- Hi darling, how are you?

Sam- don't darling me! What happened with Mr movie star?? And why didn't you call me back right away this morning? Helloo??

Jen- hmm, well I was a bit preoccupied last night, and this morning...

Sam- You stayed the NIGHT?! Wait. Did you tell him about *you know who*?

Jen- Yes. I told him about the ex and the scars. I'm absolutely energy drained so I really need to work and just process all of this..

Sam- I understand darling, it was strong of you.
And love? you deserve this. I told you, everyone isn't a bloody idiot like the last one. You deserve to be happy.
And more than satisfied...

I could feel the flirtious smirk through the phone...

After we talked for a few more minutes and set a date for some alone time together we hung up the phone.

As I made coffee for me I picked up the phone to call Ed.
We did a lot of small talks and I mailed over the lyrics I wrote and we discussed them. We set a meeting for the next day so we could get started right away.

After a few hours I glanced at the clock, shit. It's almost eight, I haven't even had dinner yet.
I took a look in my fridge to find some leftovers to my happy surprise.
I curled up in my sofa and started to switching through the channels.

I let out a sigh as I saw Henry on the screen, handsome as ever.
I did miss him, maybe I should text him to just let him know I think of him?
As I kept debating what to do I saw an incoming call..

Henry.

Jen- hey you..
Henry- Hi darling. I just wanted to check in.

I smiled, like he read my mind...

Jen- I was just thinking the same thing.
What are you doing?
Henry- oh nothing, I just came in with Kal, I'm thinking of watching a movie.
Jen- I'm watching one now, it's on channel 6 I think. Really think you would like it.

I smirked to myself as I heard him pushing the buttons on his remote.

Henry- ah, so.. you miss me so much that instead of calling me you watch me on the tellie?
Jen- well, to be honest I were flipping through the channels and there you were! Not complaining though..
Henry- mhmm.. Jen?
