Chapter 3

The days went by and me and Henry have been texting alot.
We even met up twice with the dogs.
He was so fun to talk to and it seemed we shared alot of the same hobbys.

The time was about 7 in the evening and I started walking to the lokal pub with two of my friends, Allie and Ana.
They have been on me to get down to the pub for weeks now.

About two years ago the pub, the White horse, was about to be closed because it was an old buildning and needed alot of work and the owner, Jack, didn't have the money. So I offered my help and we became close friends. At daytime we had lunch and had no trouble to fill the place up, in the evening there was a dancefloor and we had alot of locals that preformed. We had so many hidden talents in the area and I use to test my songs in the pub before I send them out to my manager.

Many of my songs had gotten quite famous by now, I worked for the most part with Ed (Sheeran) and he helped get my songs out there without my name on any of it. Ed never understood why I didn't want my name on my work but I just didn't need the money nor the need to be recognised, it was enough that I knew.

As we walked into the pub it had already become quite full, I walked in and saw Sam on the stage, he looked at me with a big smile while he was singing.
Sam quickly became one of my closest friends, he helped me settled in and introduced me to Jack and some of my other friends here. The only thing that could be just a bit enjoying was that whenever there was attractive men around he wanted to "show me off", he have been nagging me for years that I needed too meet someone. I did however like to sing but only for my self and because of the love I had for it. I still got a bit nervous and embarrassed when I sung infront of others.

The girls and I walked over to the bar to order, "Jen! Where have you been? We missed you love. Sam has been bugging me to get you to sing here again" Jack laughed and hugged me tight. "Yeah I know, not only him I assure you. But Sam's has been texting me nonstop for 2 weeks, haha. But I'm here now darling, how are you?" I asked Jack with a warm smile.
"Oh I'm fine, we have more work then ever so busy busy busy. I was hoping though that maybe you could sing something tonight to celebrate!" I looked at him with question in my face, " Yeah sure, but what's the celebration?" Jack looked at me with a smile and then Jacks girlfriend, kristen, walked up to me and showed me a huge diamond ring on her finger! "Oh my god!! What the hell?! When did this happen?! How could I have missed this??" I said as hugging them both with big smile on my face.
"He popped the question last night actully, you should have seen him Jen! He was so nervous and he could barely look me in the eye while he asked" kristen said, I looked over at Jack and he had kind of an embarrassed smile on his face. "Well I didn't want you to say no and honestly love, you took your bloody time to actully say YES" Kristen looked at him laughing and then looked at me, "Well I can't make it to easy on him now can I?" She said with a smirk. " Jack just looked at her with a warm smile and said" I didn't expect anything less from you darling" and blew her a kiss over the bar.
Kristen leaned over and whispered what song she wanted me to sing, I started laughing and just nodded.

Allie all of the sudden started to pull in my arm and whispered "look there's Charlie coming in now!" Charlie was this guy she had been seeing for a few weeks, she asked him to come tonight (and bring some friends) and there he was. Henry, he stood there laughing with Charlie and when Charlie saw Allie they walked over to the bar.
Bullocks! What was I suppose to do now? I wasn't prepared for this.
"Hello my darling" Charlie said kissing Allie on the cheeks.
"Hi love, glad you could make it!
This is my friend Jen and that one dancing over there is Ana" she said pointing to Ana who was having the time of her life, or so it seemed.
"Pleasure to meet you, finally. Allie hasn't stopped talking about you for the past week" I said to charlie with a smirk. Charlies smile widened as he looked at Allie and then back to me "Pleasure is all mine, I'm glad I finally got to meet you. My brother Henry is trying to order drinks, he's right over there" and pointed to his location. Henry was ordering drinks so he haven't seen me yet. I all of the sudden became very self conscious.
I was a pretty women, don't get me wrong. I have red long hair, icey blue eyes, kind of petit body with som curves. I wasn't like this normally, I had confidence and was okey with the flaws I had but he got me nervous.. I walked behind the bar to take a glass of water that I pretty much poured down my throat. Then he saw me, I was opening a beer for myself and he just stood there watching me with a huge smile. I walked over to him to help Jack with the orders because the people really started to pour in now.
"Fancy seeing you here" Henry said with those beautiful eyes. I could barley even form words, what was happening with me?!
"Hi. How are you?" I asked.
"I'm good, Kal is missing his buddy though." He said with a smile and fiddling with his fingers against the bar. Hmm he looked nervous too, was I making him nervous? I shook it of and smiled to him. "Well, King seemes to be missing him too. He always try to drag me to the tree on our runs hehe."
That tree had become the dog's play yard pretty much.
I tried not to look to much in his eyes, I knew if I did I would get stuck there.
"So do you work here?" Henry asked, " Well no, not really, I'm only jump in now and again to help out." He looked like he wanted to say something, however the pressure behind the bar started to build up. "What can I get you?" I asked Henry. He looked at me puzzled and then ordered a few bears and a glass of white whine for Allie.
