"Wow look at the sunset..." Suki sighed. "Isn't it beautiful?"

"It really is..." Katara breathed in the crisp sea air.

"Eh." Toph shrugged, "It's alright I guess."

Sokka rolled his eyes, "We get it, you're blind. Just let us enjoy this." she stuck her tongue out at him.

Aang scooted a bit closer to Katara, "Wow this is... almost romantic..." she looked at him with confusion. "Not that I'm saying I want to romance! I mean, not that... I don't... with you and... Ugh!" he hung his head.

She chuckled a bit and leaned her head against his shoulder, "It is kind of romantic..." he started blushing.

"What are you guys doing?" Zuko asked carrying over a tray of tea.

"Watching the sunset," Suki replied. "Come join us."

He finished handing out the tea then took a seat next to Toph. "I may be biased, but throughout all of my traveling, my favorite sunsets have always been those in the Fire Nation. They just feel... stronger I guess..."

Katara nodded, "I get that. When we were in the North and South Poles, the moon felt more powerful than it did everywhere else."

Sokka shrugged, "It feels the same to me wherever we are. The moon is always so beautiful..." he started tearing up.

"It probably has something to do with you two being benders," Suki stated while they ignored Sokka's sobbing. "You each receive your power from the sun and the moon. So, they feel at their strongest in their respective nations, while the rest of us don't notice it as much."

"Huh, I never thought of it like that..." Katara looked up at the sky as the last hints of sunlight disappeared over the horizon, the moon now in full view. "The moon really is beautiful..."

"Right?!" Sokka continued crying. "She's just so pretty!!!"

Toph rolled her eyes, "Well not that this conversation has gotten weird, I think I'm going to hit the hay."

Aang stood up and yawned, "Yeah, I'm pretty tired too. Someone made me get up at sunrise to practice katas!" he glared at Zuko.

The fire bender simply shrugged and took a sip of his tea, "No it's ok, go ahead and sleep in tomorrow. We'll just lose the battle with the father lord, get killed, and let the world fall into another hundred years of war. But it's alright, I know how important your beauty sleep is." Everyone laughed.

"Fine..." Aang let out a sigh.

Katara giggled, "You called him the father lord..."

"I did not!" he blushed, and they all laughed. "I said Fire Lord!"

"Sure, you did..." After a few more minutes of playful riffing, they made their way back to camp and settled in for the night.

~time skip~

Sokka was the first to wake up. At first, he wasn't sure what had woken him up. It was the middle of the night and everyone else was still asleep. Then, a shiver ran down his body and he had his answer. Their tents had gotten wet, so they were all sleeping outside tonight, which meant that it was a lot colder than normal.

After a few more minutes, the others started to wake up. "It's... s-so c-cold!" Katara stuttered.

"Who would have thought the Fire Nation could be this chilly..." Suki commented.

Sokka glared over at Aang, "Why aren't you freezing?! Look, even Momo is cold!" at that moment, the lemur ran up to Katara and tried to huddle himself into her dress.

"Oh, um well..." he blushed, "The Air Nomads taught me how to regulate my breathing to keep me warm, so it takes a lot to make me cold... sorry."

"Can you share that with us?" he shook his head as Katara rubbed her hands over her arms.

"You guys should come sit over here." They looked to Toph who was sitting off at the edge of the camp.

"What do you mean?" Suki asked.

"Zuko's still asleep." She told them. "This guy's like an oven! Just sitting next to him makes you warm!"

"Really?" they scooted towards her and sat in a circle around Zuko.

"This is nice..." Sokka let out a sigh. "So warm..."

"Wow..." Katara put a hand on Zuko's arm. "You're right, it's like he's an oven. I never noticed during the day."

"When I feel cold, I use the monk's breathing technique. Maybe, Zuko's body regulates his temperature automatically..." he mused.

"Like if he's warm during the day, his body doesn't make it any hotter. But at night or whenever he's cold, his body automatically raises his temperature..." Suki continued.

"Who cares how it works?!" Sokka laid down behind Zuko.

"Sokka! What are you doing?!" Katara whisper yelled.

"What? He won't mind. And he's just so warm..." he sighed.

"He's got a point." Toph laid down by his legs. "I'd rather deal with a grumpy Sparky in the morning than not get any sleep 'cause I'm cold."

"When you put it that way..." the last three each took their own position snuggled around Zuko. Even Momo curled up on top of his face.

When Zuko woke up, he felt oddly claustrophobic for some reason. When he opened his eyes, all he saw was darkness. "Huh?" he tried to sit up, but something was holding him down. He was eventually able to get an arm free and picked up the thing on his face. He was met with a sleeping Momo. "What's going on...?" he set Momo down and finally got a look at what was holding him down.

During the night, everyone had come and laid on top of him. Suki and Katara were laying on his legs, Sokka and Aang were each holdings on to him from either side, all while Toph laid on his chest.

Zuko tried to get out from under them but they were weighing him down. "Quit squirming Sparky..." Toph muttered.

"Why are you on top of me?" He whisper yelled, trying not to wake the others.

"It was cold last night, and you were warm. Now go back to sleep...' she nodded off herself.

He sighed but saw no other alternative. He closed his eyes again and drifted off to sleep. He guessed it wasn't the worst thing to let them use him as a heater. He just hoped this didn't become a regular thing...

The End.
