Sirens.

Running.

Screams.

When my eyes opened I was laying on the asphalt. I could hear people rushing around and yelling orders. Nothing about what they were doing was orderly.

Chaos.

That's the only way to describe it.

One moment I was upside down and the next people are rushing all around me like I'm invisible.

As I stand up nothing hurts. I'm clean. No blood, bruises, nothing.

"AUSTYN" my head snaps on the familiar voices direction.

Daniel.

He's not looking at me though, he's looking past me. He's being held back by police officers and he fights relentlessly against their hold. "AUSTYN"

I decide to turn around and see what he was looking at and it was my car, on its hood, with a big dent in the driver side.

There was, what looked like, a yellow bag over a bump on the ground but when the wind blew the bag faltered and showed a bloody face.

My face.

The paramedics were currently working on the person in the other car and only one person ran up to my body to work on it.

I took slow and steady steps towards my body and saw blood in my hair, coming out of my mouth and nose, and a big cut along my eyebrow.

My once white jeans now had red splotches along with my white vans.

I could care less about my clothes though. I mostly care about if I'm alive. Breathing. I can't leave Daniel, Athena, and Mason.

I definitely can't leave Mason. He's already lost everyone else in our family and he doesn't need to lose me as well.

All sorts of medical terms were flying out of the mans mouth as he went over my wounds.

He cut open my t-shirt from the collar of it to the bottom leaving my torso exposed.

There was a big cut along my stomach that was bleeding profoundly and he tried covering it with gauze to stop some of it.

A gurney from the ambulance was rolled next to my body and the man and a woman picked me up and carefully placed me onto it.

Not knowing exactly what to do I get into the back of the ambulance with them.

After the paramedics unloaded my body from the ambulance and took it into the hospital, I followed.

"Austyn Scott. Age nineteen. Car crash victim one. She was the driver. The other car crashed into hers on the driver side. Deep cut on her stomach and possible internal bleeding around the heart. Left leg broke due to impact"

They lead me into a trauma room where more doctors were waiting for my arrival to begin patching me up and doing what they could to save me.

Medical terms were thrown all around making me more confused than I've ever been in my life.

The only words that stood out were 'stitches', 'emergency surgery' and 'she will die'.

I can't die. Not yet. Not for a long time.

They rushed me out of the room just as quick as they put me into it.

They did more rushing around before I was put into an OR and the door shut before I could enter.
