Chapter 10 (Shadows)

*~Kakashi's POV~*

I was awoken by a knock on the door. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I trotted to the front door. I opened the door to the sisters room to check if the knock awoke them too. When I looked inside their room, all three of them were sleeping. Nora and Morigan on the double bed and Altair on the floor wrapped in two sheets. With a sigh of relief, I went to the front door. Opening it, I was greeted by a masked male ANBU.

"I am sorry to disturb you this late Hatake-san," the ANBU said in a hushed voice. "the Hokage wants to see you now." With that, the young AMBU disappeared in a puff of smoke. I let out a big sigh and started to drag my feet back to my bedroom. Dressing in my usual jounin attire, I left the comforts of my home to see the Hokage.

Upon arriving there, I walked into his office. He was expecting me. "Yo." I said and raised my hand in a greeting. Asuma and Kurenai were also there.

"Good, now everyone is here." Hokage said and leaned back on his chair. "I have summoned you here to discuss your teams, more specifically the three sisters. You are to understand that no one besides the four of us is to know about this meeting."

I raised an eyebrow at that. 'Does he know something about them that we don't. Well of course he does he is the Hokage stupid.' I argued with myself for a second. I listened intently. Whatever it was, it was probably important.

"First off, I want your opinion on the sisters then I am going to tell you what I know." He looked at Asuma encouraging him to talk first.

"Well Morigan is a quiet person to say the least. I can also see some hostile intentions toward Ino. It is understandable though. Ino does make fun of her and makes many rude comments towards her and her family. I am trying to work on that with Ino, but she doesn't seem to care. That is probably due to her Kekkei Genkai complex, considering Morigan is the only one that doesn't have it on the team. The boys are nice to her. Morigan does speak up when Ino is commenting on Choji's weight. It was the first time I heard her speak too. I was surprised by her outburst. During the test, I have to admit, she hid very well. I did not find her until she revealed herself from the shadows. She seems to prefer shadows than anything else." Asuma finished, then looked at Kurenai to continue.

"Well Nora is more social then Morigan considering what you just described. She took a liking to all of the team members especially to Hinata and Akamaru. During the test she stayed close to Hinata. She seems like a very nice girl. She was not even disturbed by Shino's ability. Which was surprising. When she asked him about his ability I was ready to explain when she would be creeped out, but I was wrong. The only thing she said was, 'Wow! that is so cool! It's like you have a personal army with you at all times.' I can say that her response surprised all of us. I also noticed that when she was hiding with Hinata she did prefer the shadows as well. Not as much as Morigan I can assume, but she did like to hide. She attacked me at very good times. Something only an Elite shinobi would be able to do. If her aim was any good, she would have, I'm surprised I'm saying this, given me many fatal wounds. How about you Kakashi? Did Altair do anything strange?" Kurenai said shifting attention to me.

"Well," I started, "no not really. Altair also hid in the shadows for the most part, but I did find her towards the end. When I appeared behind her, she screamed and fainted. She may be the oldest of the sisters but she is not the strongest nor does she have the potential to be. It would be dangerous for her to continue her life as a shinobi." I said and looked at the Hokage in a silent plea for him to discontinue her training.

"I am afraid to tell you Kakashi, but you are wrong." he said while taking another drag from his smoking pipe.

"How so Lord Hokage?" I asked now very curious.
