5 months later -

Julian is almost ten months old, and Hudson and I have been dating exclusively for five and a half months now. Hudson graduates from high school in two weeks, and understandably excited, which he should be since he's the valedictorian of his class. Hell, I'm so fucking proud of him, too. Today, the three of us are going to the nearby park for a little while before having dinner with my family and his at Charlie's.

"Jeremiah, Hudson's here," Jenson says," knocking on my bedroom door as he enters.

Glancing up at him from my spot on the floor of my bedroom where Julian and I have been playing for the last hour; "Thanks."

"No problem," he returns, squatting down with a grin at his nephew. "Jules, come here, baby."

Julian has been taking steps the last couple of days by himself. Julian looks intently at his uncle before carefully standing on wobbly legs as Jenson hold his arms straight out as Julian takes two tentative steps. Julian falls onto his bum with a pout and watery eyes at Jenson and then me.

"You're okay, Jules. Try again," I coo at him from behind him.

He slowly stands to take the last three wobbly steps into Jenson's waiting arms. My brother stands with the baby in his hold as he kisses him on the chubbly cheeks as we praise him. Julian then gives Jenson a big, sloppy kiss on the right cheek with a loud giggle. We head downstairs, and as we enter the kitchen, I stop in the entrance to watch the four of them togehter. I love how they all interact together, and it warms my heart greatly.

"Hey Jer," Hudson greets when he notices me, and walks toward me after taking Julian from Jenson. "Are you boys ready to go?"

He bends his head slightly to kiss my lips as Julian pats his hands on Hudson's chest happilly.

Pulling away with a dazed grin; "Yes, we're ready. I just need to grab his diaper bag from the living room on our way out."

"Great, then let's go," he grins back, pressing a light kiss to Julian's head as the baby cuddles under his chin. "Are you ready to have fun with papa and me, Jules?"

Julian pops his head up with a toothy grin as he points at me with a slobbery grin; "Pa!"

He said his first word, which was 'pa' about three weeks again, and I will be honest and admit I cried like a baby when he said it.

Julian then focus on Hudson after I kiss his cheek, and he's still grinning widly at my boyfriend as he shouts; "Da!"

Our jaws hit the floor in shock as Hudson dumbfoundly asks with wide eyes; "Did he just call me 'da'?"

"Da!" Julian hollers again, slapping both of his hands on Hudson's chest.

"I think that answers your question, baby," I giggle at him as he stares down shocked at the baby in his arms.

"Yeah," he nods slowly as he process this.

"Come on, love, let's go," I say with a chuckle while placing my arm around his muscular waist and stear him toward the front door, and grab the bag on the way out.

Hudson buckles Julian into the car seat in the back of my truck before climbing in the passenger seat as I start the engine, and drive us to the park.

"Are you okay with Julian calling me 'da'?" he softly asks.

"I'm happy he's calling you that, but the question is are you alright with?" I reply witha quick glance at him to gage his reaction.

"I'm definitly fine with it!" he cheerfully replies bouncing in his seat with excitement.

Giggling at his excitement because I'm happy that he's happy; "I'm glad you're happy baby."

We climb out once I've turned the engine off, and Hudson insists on taking Julian out of his seat, and I leave the diaper bag in the truck since we don't need it here. Once we make it to the swings, Hudson places Julian in the baby swing where he stays behind him, and I'm in front of Julian, so we can gently push him as we talk.

"Awe, what a cute family the three of you make," an older lady in her forty's coos at us, while she and her female friend walk the sidewalk around the park.

Blushing to the tips of my ears as I tell her; "Thank you, ma'am."

I don't miss the prideful smile on Hudson's face either, and I know I'm mirroring that same smile.

"How old is your son?" the other lady asks as they stop across from us.

"He'll be ten months on the 18th," I reply, gently pushing Julian's swing back toward Hudson.

"Da!" Julian hollers, stretching his upper body around toward him, and stretching his arms out to be picked up.

Hudson stops the swing to take him out, and the baby instantly cuddles into Hudson's broad chest. The two ladies bid us farewell, and we walk over to the slides, which Hudson takes Julian down repeatidly. We stay until fifteen minutes before we're supposed to be at 'Charlie's', so I can change Julian's dirty diaper, and feed him a bottle before we have dinner with everyone else.
