Renji x Rukia (Ended)

Chapter 8

Renji POV

We were there for some time then we had to return to the Soul Society because, as far as it appeared, Ichigo wasn't going to do what ever Byakuya said. As we were heading back Ichigo and Orihime both came to us before we left.

"See ya guys! Hope you come back soooon!" Orihime yelled.

"Bye Orihime! Oh wait Renji didn't we have something to tell them?"

"Oh yeah we did didn't we? Hey you 2!" Renji yelled back down.

"What is it!?" Ichigo responded.

" How would you both like to be soul reapers?"

" Wait really?!" Orihime yelled.

" Yes you Orihime will be a new one and Ichigo will just be more official."

" And you're allowed to do that?"

"I'm sure we could convince the head captain."

" Okay then let's go!"

Orihime was very excited. They went through with us and we went straight to the head captain's office. We started explaining how beneficial it would be if they were with us.

"You think you need to make some form of an excuse to get them in? What do you think I'm some black hearted old man who doesn't care about anyone?"

" No just we didn't think you would allow them if we didn't have some form of,"

"Excuse."

" Yes head captain."

" I don't need an excuse to allow 2 people who have already saved the world into my academy."

" Yeah we should have thought about that."

" Well let me get up and tell them myself. I want to see the look on their faces. I don't get to make people happy very often."

He got up and walked to the door. He opened it and told them the news. They got really excited but what I thought was funny was when Ichigo asked him if he was joking and the response was great.

"My boy I haven't made a joke in over 519 years."

He smiled a bit.
