Erica's POV

I made it back from the register to find the Malfoys only to find Mr. Malfoy having heated words with an older man with ginger hair but he wasn't alone. I guessed all the rest of the gingers around him were his kids. I saw the man grab Mr. Malfoy by the front of the shirt and my anger got the best of me as I walked up.

"Release him or else." I demanded bravely. He looked at me and rolled his eyes before turning back to Mr. Malfoy, raising his fist to swing. I raised my hands and made a pull apart motion causing the man to shout and fly backwards into his kids, knocking most of the older kids to the floor. I received death glares as Mr. Malfoy straightened out his cloak.

"As you can see, Erica. Some of us witches and wizards are nothing but garbage." with that, he turned on his heel and left the book store first, then draco, then me. I took a final look at their faces and waved before exiting.

The Malfoys waved me over to where they stood. Mr. Malfoy put a hand on his chest and gave me a slight bow. I felt pride rush through me as he thanked me for my service.

Mrs. Malfoy hugged me and offered to take me to the wand shop but I declined for the chance to explore. She sent a message the the Oaf to meet me in the square in an hour as I had no clue how to contact him.

I made it to the wand shop and sighed. Nicholas was suppose to be doing this with me... I shook my head and pushed open the old looking door to reveal a dusty shop littered and stacked with long boxes. I walked around and noticed every box seemed to be covered in dusty finger prints.

"Who are you?" It was a simple question from no where by what sounded like an older man. I turned and saw my guess was correct.

"Erica Flamel." I answered plainly as I walked to the counter he stood behind.

"Are you sure? Forgive me but it is rare that I am unfamiliar with a customer." He offered a hand.

"Olivander."

I took his hand and shook it.

"Erica-HEY!" I was cut off as he squeezed my hand and flipped it over to feel my palm. I struggled to pull away but stopped when he spoke.

"Can you by chance use wandless magic?" He enquired before letting me go. I held my hand close to my chest as I took a step away from him. I nodded.

"Yes... ever since I was little."

He grinned and leaned over the counter.

"How old are you?"

"14." With that, he disappeared into the back and brought up stack after stack.

***

Hagrid walked in after a couple hours. The shop seemed more cluttered then before as Olivander had me try the 100th wand. I swished it and it zapped me causing me to drop it back on the counter. I clenched and unclenched my hand as I shook it out.

"At least it didn't hurt as bad this time." I half joked. The old man stared me down with annoyance.

"That was the last wand I could think of!" Olivander shouted as he threw his arms up dramatically.

"I can use my hands, it's not a big deal." I waved off.

"Hogwarts requires you to have a wand." Hagrid piped in.

"It's clear here that I need to write Albus and let him know of this. Hopefully there is a special exception for you, Ms. Flamel." Olivander said with defeat. I shrugged my shoulder and turned to Hagrid. He was oddly cheerful.
