1 year later
Each and everyday I look at her she seems to gets even more beautiful.
"Good morning honey." I whispered in her ear.
"Good morning hussain."
She sounded a bit different.
"Are you ok? Are you getting sick?"
"I don't know babe.."
"You're a doctor..you should know."
"Well I'm sorry I didn't give myself a check up."
"Ok so do you need anything?"
"Umm..no thanks lov-" she covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom. Maybe food poisoning.
"Are you ok? Do you wanna go to the doctors?"
"No I think I know what's wrong."
She took her purse and keys and left.
"Drive safe!" I yelled behind her. I wonder what's up.
~~Ashi POV~~
I can't believe this. I called Raneem to tell her everything.
"Raneem!! I'm coming over right now...do you have a pregnancy test?"
"Yeah but why? Are you pregnant."
"I'll tell you when I get there...don't tell anyone but yara. Stay calm about it."
"Ok."
"Open the door I'm here."
She came down and opened the door.
"Let's go everything's ready,"

I was frightened to look at the test so I told Raneem and yara to look for me.
"Ashi...I can't believe this..you're pregnant!" I heard yara.
I had tears in my eyes. Im pregnant. I hid my face in my hands and collapsed to the ground and started to cry.
"Ashi! Don't cry..please..it's good news."
"These are tears of joy. I can't believe it." I hugged Raneem so tight and cried my eyeballs out.
"Ok atleast stop crying and go home and tell hussain."
"I'll tell him tomorrow..it's our anniversary."
I drove home and went to my bedroom.
"Everything alright?"
"Yeah I just have food poisoning."
"Alright do you want to eat anything? You kinda ran off without eating."
"Um no I'll just make us lunch.."
"Alright..I'm going to go finish up some work.."
"Hey can I ask you something?"
"Yeah go ahead."
"Um-would- uh- never mind I'll ask tomorrow."
"Sure? We can talk about anything."
"Im sure I'll ask tomorrow."
"Alright."
I made some desi vegetable rice with chicken and yogurt. It's a must have in a paki household.
"Lunch is ready.."
"Ok."

After we ate I had to leave for the mall with Raneem and yara.
"Alright I'm leaving..I'll call you."
"Ok have fun."
"You should call up someone and hang out with them."
"I might..I'll see."
"You sure you want me to go?
"Go ahead..I'll call up aseel..I heard he's back in town."
Only one word came to mind.
Fuck
I never knew he came back.
"Ok bye..love you." And I ran out the door.
When we reached the mall Raneem suggested we go to a baby's store.
"But why?"
"Because I have an idea of a way you telling hussain about the baby."
"Ok? Which is?"
"Buy a bunch of baby products, put em in a basket and put it somewhere he will walk in and see randomly."
"Good idea."
After we bought the items we went to tandems house and decorated the basket.
"He'll love this."
I went into my car and drove home. It's was already 10:48 and I was so tired.
When I got home I went straight to bed.
~.~6am~.~
I woke up early so I could make hussain a nice breakfast and put the basket in his office.
I made him chocolate chip pancakes with extra chocolate chips. I made it rarely..and whenever I did, it would usually be a special day. And today's our anniversary.
It was 8:27 and hussain would wake up any minute now.
I heard footsteps upstairs and figured it was hussain getting up. I went and sat on the couch and watched a serial on Sony entertainment. Acting like I forgot something, Just a casual morning.
"Good morning honey."
"Good morning."
"Whatcha watchin?"
"Kuch toh log kahenge."
"Boring,"
"Shut up."
"What's for breakfast?"
"Go look."
He went and came back and kissed me.
"Thank you. Happy anniversary. I love you." He whispered in my ear.
"You're welcome and happy anniversary to you too and I love you too."
After he ate we watched a movie. We were watching kal ho na ho.. I always cried in that movie. And then we watched tere naam.
We were at the end of tere naam and hussains office Phone went off because I called it so he would go. I watched him as he walked in. He was frozen. I walked in behind him and hugged him.
"Surprise.."
He didn't say anything.
"Are you happy?"
Still nothing.
"Say something damn it!!!"
