the next few days went pretty smooth and what can i say. life's good.
"babe!!!!!" I moaned from my bed.
"what?" he ran upstairs.
"I don't feel good."
"what's wrong?" he rushed to the edge of my bed.
"I have to go to work today."
he got up and put his hands on hips.
"you're crazy."
"I don't wanna go to work."
"well you gave to. you've taken off enough."
"you're lucky you don't have work today." I said under my breath while getting up.
He than grabbed my wrist and pulled me to him, causing me to hit his chest.
"I love you." he whispered and gave me a kiss
"you're making it harder for me to leave."
"I know.."
"ughh I don't wanna go!!!"
"Ashi." he glared at me.
"please?"
"no..."
"I'm going to get ready. please make me breakfast?"
"sure." he kissed me before I went to shower.
I got out after 20 minutes and decided to wear a maroon jumper with maroon pumps along with my chunky gold necklace with my black purse.
I walked down to delicious breakfast.
"that smells amazing."
"I thought you'd like it...but I didn't make it." he sounded guilty.
"what? did it just fall from the sky?"
"no I went and bought halwa puri."
I laughed at his stupid guilt.
"and your feeling guilty?"
"yeah I guess."
"I love you man." and I kissed him.
"I love you woman."
we sat and had our breakfast and had small talks.
"ugh I gotta get going now."
"ok honey. I'll come for lunch?"
"how about the kids?"
"I'll bring 'em."
"sure?"
"yeah..just text me and I'll come.."
"ok bye." I turned and gave him a kiss. "I love you."
"I love you too.." he leaned closer and kissed my forehead. "have a nice day back at work."
"thank you..watch out for the kids ok?"
"yeah yeah...aena will come over and check on them...you don't worry...just take good care of your patients."
"alright...bye." I kissed him again and left.
I got in my car and fixed my rear view mirror and buckled up. I connected my phone to the aux cord and played the Saavn app.
I threw on my sunglasses and waved at hussain one more time and started backing out my driveway.
it was about a 35 minute drive to the hospital I work at. yup it's closer to my parents place. but I didn't mind the commute..I liked driving.
while I was driving, I was thinking about how lucky I was to have the life I have. I have a great career and a great family..and most of all my husband and kids..I'm so grateful of my life..alhamdulillah.
I decided to stop and get some coffee at 7-11.
I needed coffee to function my day...especially at the hospital.
I made my coffee and walked towards the cashier..I was shocked to see who I saw.

Ashi was dreading getting up this morning but she missed a lot of work. not that I wanted to get rid of her..I just wanted her to go back to her old life with work. I knew how much she loved working at the hospital even though I was frightened my the doctors.
she worked all through out the hospital but she mostly liked it when she was assigned to work at the nursery with newborns.
she loved kids..especially after she lost her siblings.
---Ashi POV---
" Abdul?"
"Ashi?"
"you work here?"
he pointed to his badge to make it obvious.
"clearly Ashi."
"haha...where have you been all these years? I thought you moved to a different state."
"nah..I took a vacation for a whole year. so you can kinda say yeah I moved."
"aww we missed you..you left right after grad.."
"yeah..kind of an emergency..so how have you been?" he looked over at my left hand. "married huh?"
"haha yeah. I've been great. life's been amazing...but sadly I have to go back to work."
"back to work? why'd you take off?"
"maternity leave. I had twins about more than a month ago."
"oh congratulations."
"you're not married?"
"Nope." he said popping the 'p' "still waiting for the right one."
"ok well good luck." I swiped my credit card. "ok I'll go now. it was nice seeing you after this long. you have my number to stay in contact."
"alright I will. have a nice day back at work."
"haha ok bye."and I left.
Abdul and I never really talked but we kinda got to know each other right before graduation and he left right after the ceremony.
