If this moment is our wave,
Don't be afraid, face it with more strength.

I leaned on the wall of the airport, annoyed and a little tired. My brother, Jake, must have noticed, since he walked over and nudged my shoulder playfully."Hey, don't be mad. They'll be here soon."
"The worst part is that he's your fucking friend, and we'd probably be past security if we weren't waiting for them." I snapped.
"Hey, keep it clean over there!" my father said sternly. I ignored him and rolled my eyes.
I didn't mention that Jakes friend was also my crush. Yes, I have a crush on my brothers best friend. I told Jake about my feelings for Jay almost a year ago, when I first developed them, and he didn't mind. In fact, Jake's my biggest supporter.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but it's not their fault that there's traffic. Jay and his family will be here soon. You can wait a little longer for your lover boy, can you?" Jake teased, poking my cheek. I swatted his hands away, hiding my slightly pink cheeks.
Let me give you a quick back story: every year, we go to one of our favorite hotels in Florida. And guess who always comes along? Jay and his family. Not that i'm complaining. I get to see Jay half naked once year, running on the sand with his blonde hair swaying in the wind....
"Jay!!!" Jake suddenly yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts. I turned to see the long awaited family of three, approaching us with their bags.
The parents greeted each other as Jake and Jay fist bumped. Jay then turned to me and smiled that gorgeous toothy smile of his.
"Hey, Y/N." he said. I felt the butterflies begin to flutter as I smiled in return. He turned back to Jake, and as the boys got lost in their own conversation, I couldn't seem to let the thought of Jay go- even for a second.

I grunted as people shoved me here and there to get into their seats. The small isle of the airplane was so tight that I might've gotten stuck once or twice. Finally after what seemed like ages, we made it to our seats.
Yes, a window seat.
I sighed as I settled in, plugging my phone into my earbuds and settling for some K-pop. I watched as my parents and Jake found their seats two rows ahead of me, and I gave them a reassuring thumbs up before they sat down.
I leaned back into the uncomfortable chair as "Love Shot" by EXO came on- one of my favorites. Probably for an obvious reason.
"Hey, cupcake." I heard. My eyes widened at the familiar voice and I turned to find Jay sitting right next to me, his perfectly structured face just inches away.
"Oh, so i'm stuck with you for the next couple hours?" I fake whined, pretending to be mad. But Jay didn't seem to buy it.
"I know you aren't mad, cupcake. You have the worst poker face i've ever seen." he said, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Pfft, what?" I said, still keeping on my act. Maybe enough convincing and he'll back off.
"Yeah, yeah, don't play with me."
"No sir, i'm not." I said, a hint of tease in my voice as I poked his shoulder.
"You're really happy that you got put with me, I bet." Jay said, reading my mind like the holy bible.
"No sir, I think that's you." I said.
"Maybe you're right." he muttered, slipping in his earbuds. I knew my cheeks were turning a faint pink, so I quickly turned away and faced the window.

I fluttered my eyes open as I felt someone (that someone being Jay) poking my cheek. It took me a second to realize that I was hugging his arm and leaning on his shoulder.
