Yes, I know, I seemed a little obvious. But at the moment, I didn't really care. I grabbed my clothes, picking out some cute ones for the following day. I was already in my pijamas so I didn't need any to change into.
I was ready in no time. I put some light make up on and grabbed my phone, slinging my bag over my shoulder. My parents were out of town for the night, but my older brother, Heeseung, agreed to drive me to Hyeri's.
I was so excited but slightly curious as to why Hyeri asked so suddenly. The last time our friend group had a sleepover was when we were 10, back in 4th grade.
That was also before I realized I had a huge crush on Niki. Now, I was slightly nervous.
All of my thoughts were wiped away when we finally pulled into Hyeris driveway. I said a quick thank you and was about to hop out of the car before I felt a familiar grip on my wrist.
"I packed three bottles of pepper spray in your bag. I also packed a couple bandaids and pads in case you get your period. Don't be afraid to pussy out and call me, my phone will be on at all times." Heeseung said worriedly. I smiled. I had such a caring brother.
"I think i'll be fine." I said, flashing a grin before fully hopping out of the car.
"Careful!" Heeseung shouted. I held up a thumbs up and waved goodbye.
As he drove away, I made my way up the steps. I was about to knock but the door opened before I even could. I was greeted by my best friend.
"You made it!" she cheered, bringing me into a hug. I chuckled and hugged her back tightly.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Yeah, only because Niki's coming."
"Shut up." ——— We walked into the basement and I gasped at the sight. It was decorated in fairy lights and many blankets. There was a table full of snacks and two big mattresses on the ground.
"Didn't know you could be so artsy." I said, jumping on one of the mattresses.
"Shit, this is comfortable."
Hyeri rolled her eyes at me and went to grab one of the snacks- a small bag of gummies. She chewed them all in one handful.
"So, you excited to have our first sleepover in six years?" she asked. I nodded excitedly.
"It's just that this one seems different."
"Different? How?"
"Hyeri. Let's get real. I'm having a sleepover with my crush. Oh, and let's not forget my two other best friends that always tease me about him."
"You're lucky to have a bad bitch like me. Plus, he's been our best friend for years, you'll be fine."
"Are you not nervous about Jake, Hyeri?"
"I'm just excited to see his sleeping face and hear his morning voice." Hyeri said. I swear she had heart eyes.
We talked a bit more before hearing a knock on the door. Hyeri smiled and grabbed my wrist.
"That must be your lover boy." she winked. I rolled my eyes at the remark.
"It could be yours." I suggested. She shrugged and we sprinted up the stairs.
"Go get him, tiger." Hyeri said, pushing me towards the door. I unlocked it with a smile and quickly opened it to find Jake.
"Ugh, it's you." my smile dropped and I walked away from the door. Jake chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah, nice to see you too." he hung his coat on the rack and I immediately regretted what I said.
"No no no, i'm sorry, Jake. I was just-"
"Hoping it was your crush?" Jake wiggled his eyebrows. I blushed and slapped his forearm.
"How did you know?!"
"Y/N, you make it so obvious." he looked at me with raised eyebrows and I groaned into my hands.
We were interrupted by another knock and my smile grew once again. I unlocked it and found Niki who immediately pulled me into a hug. I was surprised by the action but didn't argue- instead, I snuggled into his chest, enjoying the moment.
"You're so tiny, I love it." he muttered against my head. Luckily my face was hidden so he didn't notice my crimson cheeks.

"Hey lovebirds, you done yet?" Hyeri said, fist bumping Jake. I blushed and pulled away, gaze on the ground.
"Chin up, princess, your tiara's falling." Niki whispered, swiping a thumb under my chin and lifting my face to his.
We stared into each other's eyes for a bit before he walked away, leaving me alone.
"What does this boy do to me?" I muttered to myself, following him to the basement. ——— 1:28 a.m. "SHIT!!" Jake yelled, dropping his controller. He lost yet another game of Mario Kart, which wasn't a surprise to anyone.
Hyeri laughed obnoxiously at him as he shot her a glare.
"How are you guys not laughing? This shit is a fucking comedy show." Hyeri said between laughs. Niki shrugged.
"It's pointless to make fun of him because it'll take him the rest of the day to figure it out." he said bluntly.
"Id like to see things from your point of view, but I cant get my head that far up my ass." Jake said, voice muffled again the mattress.
"How long did it take you to come up with that one?"
"I was gonna give you a nasty look, but I see you already have one."
"I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a smarter roast than that."
Amidst of all this, Hyeri and I were trying so hard not to pee. ——— 2:09 a.m. I snapped a picture of Jake and Hyeri tangled in each others arms. They were soundly sleeping on one of the mattresses and they looked too adorable.
"You getting ready for bed, too?" Niki asked. I nodded but froze at a sudden realization.
There are two mattresses. Hyeri and I were supposed to sleep on one mattress and the boys would be on the other. What now?
Niki hopped on the second mattress with a sigh as he snuggled in. I bit my lip but eventually grabbed a blanket and pillow, heading up the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Niki asked. I stopped and turned to look at him.
"Uhm... to sleep." I said, blushing as the butterflies in my stomach started to swirl.
"Then come sleep then." he said, patting the spot next to him. I smiled and threw myself on the mattress. Niki chuckled and ruffled my hair. ——— I was about to drift off to sleep when I felt a secure arm around my waist. My breathing hitched and my cheeks grew a deep red once again.
Niki pulled me close to him and planted a soft kiss on my head. I turned around to snuggle into his chest, hoping he wouldn't hear my racing heart beat.
"Goodnight, princess." he said, snuggling to me tightly. I grinned to myself before fluttering my eyes closed.
