Dreams (Taegi)

"His soulmate was an ordinary eyed, simple haired boy."

On their sixteenth birthday, the person would drift off into a deep slumber and in their dreams, they would see their soulmate.
They could have a conversation and would get to walk around the empty black room they were placed in.
It would take as much time as it needed to find each other, the dreams didn't rush.
For some their soulmate it was expected, for many it was unexpected.
Due to this many people fought and broke up, but many relationships were formed as well, perfect ones even.
The dreams never lied they said. But Taehyung refused to believe that at first.

"Wake up birthday boy!" Namjoon said rubbing his brother's head.
Taehyung groaned while still half asleep. "Five more minutes.."
"Nah, Jin made you a delicious birthday breakfast and he'll kill me if I fail to get you down their as soon as possible."
Taehyung looked up immediately. "Jin hyung made breakfast? Not mom?"
"Yup."
"Fuck sleep, I'm gonna feast!" Taehyung rushed out of his bed, almost tripping over his bedsheets and hurried into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

"There's my favorite son!" Their dad said nudging his head after Taehyung had rushed downstairs.
The elder brothers didn't bother to argue and let Tae have his moment.
They watched as he gave their parents a big hug and patiently waited for theirs.
"A hug for Jin hyung and a hug for Namjoon hyung." He said spreading his arms and waddling over to them.
They gladly accepted it.

"Now I heard someone made a feast for me and it wasn't mom." He said cheekily smiling.
"Hey! My food's not that bad you know." She argued, but everyone in that room seemed to disagree.
Taehyung smiled at her and just gobbled up his food.

"Man! I can't believe you are all grown up now, you're gonna meet your future boyfriend or girlfriend already," Jin said wiping a fake tear.
"I know right!" Taehyung said, his mouth full of pancakes.
Everyone smiled at the youngest.
"Ahh I can't wait to meet her. I hope she has pretty eyes, and nice hair. I think that's all I need. OH WAIT and I hope she's super nice and has a great personality," The birthday boy said.
"I'm sure...she will." Namjoon reassured. "I'll be right back." He grabbed Jin and left the room.

"Why'd you drag me here?" Jin asked, looking just about ready to fight him.
"Taehyung knows that the person who'll appear in his dreams could be a boy or a girl...right?" He asked.
"Of...course" Jin said, scratching his head.
"The boy's whipped over a imaginary girl he's created in his head, and if it's a boy?" Namjoon asked.
"Taehyung's not homophobic, he accepted me, so he'll accept it if he has a male partner."
"Right..but it might be different since he's the one who-"
"Shush. He'll be fine." Jin said putting his hand on Namjoon's mouth.

"Jin! Namjoon! It's time for school, hurry up!" They heard their dad shout.
The boys rushed out of their room, and grabbed their backpacks.
They had to practically drag Taehyung out the door because he was still stuffing his face with all the delicious food Jin made.

"Ahh I'm so excited Jungkookie! I seriously can't wait to meet her." Taehyung gushed on for the millionth time.
Jungkook giggled. "I can't wait until I turn 16, I'll be glad if I even have a soulmate."
"Two more months Kookie! And I'm a hundred percent sure you will, just because you're shy doesn't mean you're not worthy of love!" He said swinging his hand around his best friend.

"Aww happy birthday Tae bear!" The two boys heard a couple voices approaching them.
Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"A birdie told me it was your birthday," Jimin said.
He was Taehyung's bully, well, him and his best friend Hoseok.
"Bet he's not even gonna see anyone in his dreams." Hoseok said laughing.
"Right, even the dream can't find someone special for someone as weird as him." Jimin laughed.
"And ugly. Don't forget ugly." The other added.
Taehyung usually was quiet, but he wasn't going to let some bullies ruin his special day.
"Please, I'll find someone so good, you'll end up getting so jealous."
Jimin and Hoseok laughed at his sudden confidence.
But Taehyung just flipped them off and walked the other way with his best friend around his arm.
