24 - Empty Self
It has been around two weeks now ever since the four spoke together and when that resulted in a crack within them.
No one has been able to speak with Michael during this time, since he refused to pick up his phone and completely ignored Luke when he started to randomly pop up at his work and house. The painter took the eventual hint for personal space.
Calum was the most upset about it, since he took a large hit from Michael's dishonest words. He hasn't felt this bad ever since he was on the streets drugged up.
With all of this recent rejection and stress, Calum has been feeling more antsy than usual. He was completely sobered up by now and his body was basically screaming for him to go get some drugs.
And unfortuantly that's exactly what he did.
He promised Ashton that he would never sneak away from him again, but that's how he ended up in the middle of some dark street waiting for Oli to show up. Calum felt utterly terrible about this.
He was going to let them all down and all of his hard work was going to be for nothing. But he just couldn't cope without help anymore. He needed this relief, and he couldn't ignore the violent calling any longer.
"I haven't seen you in forever." Oli said once he made his appearance in front of Calum, "Thought that you overdosed...But you look good. Shit, you look great compared to last time. Are you sober, mate?"
Calum rolled his eyes, "Do you have it?"
"Of course I do." Oli said simply, "But are you sober?"
"So what if I was? It's none of your fucking business." Calum basically growled out at him, feeling complete annoyance for anyone these days that weren't either Luke, Ashton, or the noncooperative Michael.
Oli put his hands up in surrender with a small laugh, "I can see that you are. I was just wondering."
And with a shrug, Oli quickly slipped his hand inside of his coat pocket before sliding it into Calum's hand while grabbing the cash that was being held out by the druggie, "Don't take too much, mate. Taking your usual after suddenly being sober will do you one."
Calum huffed before he walked away from Oli with no other word being said. But Oli didn't care to simply put it. His clients weren't his problem; they gave him cash and that's all that he took importance of.
Calum quickly walked down the street, even if he had no idea where it was that he was going while he started to dig his fingers into the small bag of white pills. He quickly popped two in his mouth, feeling relieved that he was finally getting the drugs that he felt like he desperately needed.
But there was still that guilt that he was feeling. God, Ashton was going to be completely devastated.
So Calum popped two more pills into his mouth, trying desperately to escape from his reality and trying to forget about his emotions again. He missed his empty self, the one that didn't care about anything other than his pills. It was too complicated to have feelings for others.
