Y/N's POV

That had been the first time either of us had told each other those three magical words. The butterflies had broken out of their cocoons and fluttered in the pits of my stomach. I felt their wings brush against the borders of my belly, making their way up my throat.

Hands intertwined with the soft slender fingers of the boy who broke into the walls of my heart. Watching as the locks of blonde blew across his chilled rosy cheeks.

Breaths were visible as he took in the crisp winter breeze. Eyes squinted, nose and cheek flushed pink by the temperature drop. I felt his hand shiver in my own, teeth clattering to the sudden gust of wind.

Eyeing the walking popsicle, I hesitantly pulled him closer and stuffed our intertwined hands into my coat pocket. Directing my gaze forward, trying to ignore the boy's glances in slight embarrassment.

Adjusting our hands in my pocket, he rubs the back of my hand with his thumb and grips tighter. In the corner of my eye, I see a small shy smile on the boy's face as he buried his head in his scarf.

Sweat began to build between our palms and I wondered if that bothered the boy. Attempting to pry myself out of the boy's grasp, he refused to let go. Raising an eyebrow at the childish boy, he looks at me and says.

"Please-"

Averting his eyes to the pavement, hiding his face deeper into his scarf, he seems distressed.

"Please, just don't let go."

I heard something in his voice that I hadn't heard before. It made my heart sink. My brows furrow. And I regain my grip on his hand.

Unsure of how to respond, I just kept walking, my grip secure. With the sternest voice, staring intensely into the boy's eyes, I say.

"I don't plan on it."

The rest of the walk home was in comfortable silence.

Timeskip

I sat at the small loveseat and began to be filled with boredom, as I stared up at the cieling. Yesterday Kurapika and I went to see the big three, but now the part was over and now there's only boredom.

Hanging my head behind the seat I hear a chuckle to my left, to which I turn to head upsidedown. He sat at the dining table with a book in his grasp, changing his attention to me.

"Kurapikaaaa"

I whined the boy's name as he chuckles and folds a corner of his page.

"Yeeeeeees"

Resting his cheek on his palm, he tilts his head at me and smiles.

"Don't you wanna do something? Like I dunno, erm, something! ANYTHING!"

"Well, sitting counts as doing something so really, you are doing anything."

Staring at the boy with hooded eyes and clear annoyance written on my face I point to the boy and say.

"Don't be getting smart with me boy."

Ignoring my comment he rubs his chin in thought. Until he snapped his fingers with a bright expression, gaze now towards me. I rose a brow at the lightened boy.

"Let's go for a drive."
