Y/N's POV
The flecks of white had stopped falling since the other night. The blanket of snow that had once covered the streets wholely, had now only blotches of it. Leaving streams of water to roam the busy sidewalks. The sun had been shining dimly that day, behind the clouds it hid.
Though the one beside me illuminated the entirety of the block.
The slightly puffy coat he wore over his neat and tidy suit. The red scarf that wraps around his neck snuggly, his chin sinking into the fabric. His nose tinted pink, eyes lidded slightly, the way our hands intertwined. He was just so radiant.
We had come across a car, a black one to be exact. It was the same design as the one is the anime.
The boy had opened the car's door, melted snow slipping off the handle. Giving a gesture for me to go in I smile and say 'thank you' to the gentleman of a boy. Closing the door, the boy gets in on my left.
Adjusting his seat and removing his scarf he begins to drive. Not quite sure where, but I suppose it's better than staying in the apartment where I would slowly go insane. I sat in my seat, gazing out of the window as I watched the buildings pass by. Melted snow raced to the bottom of the slick glass as I put my bet on one singular water droplet.
It had been silent for a while, with occasional shifts in seats and sniffles. Though it hadn't been awkward oddly enough, it felt calm and relaxing. Taking short glances at the one with the wheel.
He had been tapping his index finger on the leather wheel with a quiet expression. Thinking, it seems. Wonder crossed my mind of what he could be thinking about so deeply. My eyes shifted to my cell phone, then an idea came to mind.
"Hey Kurapika, what sort of music do you like?"
His tapping came to a pause and turned his gaze to me, brows raised for a second. Making a 'hmm' sound, he hooks his chin in thought.
"I'm not sure, I hadn't had the time to fixate on a certain type I suppose."
What.
He doesn't even know what type of music he likes! Boy Kurapika, this won't do I'm sorry please prepare your ears.
"Okay, we're going to put an end to that, lets test some songs out shall we."
Nodding in response, he turns back to the road awaiting the upcoming tunes. While I scroll through my device searching for a good song to start with.
I had ended up playing multiple songs from different artists and different genres, to which Kurapika seemed to only like a few. The songs he had been quite a variety of beats and vibes. Making a list of songs he had liked into my notes for future reference.
We had played MGMT, Mother Mother, and MCR, all the good stuff. Of course, we listened to other bands and singles, but those were the main three. What can I say the boy likes what the boy likes. I even caught him trying to lip-sync to 'Mama' by MCR, it was cute not gonna lie.
Singing and lipsyncing to the jumbled playlist, we had driven for quite a while. That's when the boy muttered something under his breath and began to pull over to the curb. Puzzled and slightly worried, you look at the boy for an answer.
"What happened?"
Brows knitted together and pinching the bridge of his nose, he lets out an airy laugh. Which left me in an even more confused state, tilting my head a bit to the left like a puppy. Looking back my way the boy smiles and lets out another light and airy laugh.
"Hah, we ran out of gas. I didn't even seem to notice, I was having too good of a time."
"Oh, that's not good, THE GAS I mean, I'm glad you were having fun!"
"Yes, well now we must call someone to retrieve us."
Scanning the area I spot a gas station, though it's quite far and I mean VERY far. We wouldn't be able to make such lengths while pushing the vehicle, we would get run over for sure. Buying packed gas could work, let's do that.
"Kurapika, how about we go buy some portable gas at that gas station."
His gaze in the direction of my finger, he nods and begins to wrap his scarf around his neck. It was grey and dimly lited. The walk would be long, but as I stepped out of the comfort of the car, a gust of wind flew by. Some of which lingered on the surface of my skin, leaving me with upright arm hairs.
"Gahh, shit that's cold!"
"Pfft, indeed."
Running over to the blond and embracing him, leaving the boy to just about stumble over his feet. Wrapping my arms around his torso and my head near his hip, he puts me in a headlock and laughs at my defeat.
"Okay! Okay! I surrender, I surrender."
Loosening his grip he lets go and playfully pushes my head away. Rolling his eyes with a small smile, stuffing his hands into his coat pockets.
"You act so foolishly sometimes you know."
With that, I ran Naruto style straight ahead then turned back to the strolling boy and went into a sumo stance. The boy smirking at your behavior and raising a brow as he slowly began to approach you. Once he was about two/three yards away, he came to the same stance I had. Eyeing me with a smug look, he suddenly starts running towards me.
"Gotcha!"
"AHHH shit! KURAPIKA DON'T YOU DROP ME!!"
"Hahaha!"
He had quite literally snatched me off my feet as he swung me around. Giggling like a child, while I'm trying to keep my grip on the boy so I don't happen to fall. Soon enough he had set me down, while still holding me at my torso. His soft gaze met mine and began to smile.
"And you call me foolish."
Smirking at the boy, chin raised in pride.
"Yes, I did."
Laying a kiss atop my forehead, giving me a playful smug look he says,
"I don't see your point."
