*Jack's P.O.V.

I wake up in my bed but I don't remember climbing into it. I must have been too tired to remember.

I throw the covers off and stretch. My staff on the other side of my bed... I roll to the other side, grab it, and leap towards the door half flying and jumping. I open it and walk downstairs.

Hiccup and Astrid are downstairs. I try not to look at Hiccup. "Oh, Jacklene isn't up yet?"

"No," says Astrid. "She was up late last night, I heard her wondering around in the middle of the night. Sounded like she was talking, she might have been sleep walking."

"Okay, thanks, I'll go check on her." I walk back upstairs to her room. I knock on the door. "Jacklene," I whisper, "you awake?" I wait for a few minutes, no answer. She's asleep so I walk in. I look at her bed, no one's in it, but there's a note. Needed to leave to keep you safe. Safe from what? I thought.

I walk back downstairs with the note in my hand, staring at it. Hiccup just looks at me and realizes something's wrong. "What is it?" He asks. Tears cloud my vision. "She's gone. She left, why would she leave?" Astrid comes up to me, "How do you know she left?"

I show her the note. "Oh Jack, I'm sorry, I don't know why she would leave. I don't see how you would be in danger." I shake my head. "Me either. But why wouldn't she tell me first?" She hugs me, "I don't know Jack. I hope we can find her." I hug her back, trying not to cry. I look at Hiccup and the tears just come flooding out. Astrid let's me go and looks at me. "Come on, forget breakfast. We need to find her if you're already crying."

Hiccup speaks up, "I'll grab Toothless and Stormfly," he then walks out the door leaving his fish untouched. I fold the note and put it in my hoodie pocket. Astrid says something I thought she would never say, "Let's visit the guardians. They would know what to do."

"Guardians? You know them?" She nods, "Yeah, you're a guardian so we would know them, you told us all about them and Pitch, Jacklene told us about her guardian friends too. You got your memory back right?" I nod, "Yes, but not all of it. He said I would gradually gain memory." Astrid looks confused, "Who told you?"

I was about to answer when Hiccup walks in, "Dragons are ready. We should get going. It'll be dark soon." Tears start to form in my eyes every time I see Hiccup. I blink them away. "Yeah, let's get going." We walk outside, Hiccup and Astrid mount their dragons, and we take off.

Occasionally my hand drifts into my pocket, feeling for Jacklene's note but this time it isn't there. I pull something out of my pocket, grasping it tightly so it won't blow away. It's a small snowflake but instead of the normal snowflake, it's shaped like Jacklene's head.

I put it back in my pocket, focusing more on my flying. I don't want to crash into anything, again.
