*Jack's P.O.V.
I think I'll just sit on my bed for a while. After that I don't feel like doing much. Why would I dream that? Jacklene isn't evil, is she?
Thinking is a dangerous thing when by yourself. I can't stand sitting alone with just my thoughts. I need to do something.
I jump out of bed and head into the bathroom. I shut the door and start walking to the toilet when I notice my reflection. I look terrible. I haven't slept in days which makes my appearence worse.
I am darker than my pale self and I have huge bags under my eyes. I need to stop looking at myself. I need to leave my room.
I just walk out of the bathroom. I grab my staff and walk out the door, I head towards the main room with the globe in it which I take a few steps and I'm there.
I see something move by the fireplace. My mind is messing with me. Everyone is asleep.
I stop in front of the globe. All the children that still believe are lit up like candles.
"It must be nice to be believed in." I turn around, Jacklene is standing behind me. It's too dark to see her face. "Oh, it's just you."
She walks next to me. "What's it like? I mean, to have children believe in you." I think for only a moment. "It like how the guardians see you, but kids love you, they see you. They are excited to see you, they believe in you. If that makes any sense."
She nods. "Just a little, but I get the idea."
Out of nowhere she laughs. "What's so funny?" I ask. "Your dream." I'm confused... "What dream?" She turns her head towards me. I can now see her expression. "The one where I turn evil. Only it wasn't a dream Jack." I now realize that her eye color is yellow. "Jacklene, what happened?" I back away.
"Jack, you were very brave to take that shot for me. I realize now that you shouldn't have. I was meant to be evil, with Pitch and Raven."
"Wait, Raven? You know her?" Did she come with the guardians from the other world? "Of course Jack. Why wouldn't I? We are partners after all." I'm stunned. "Partners?"
Then Pitch and Raven come out of the shadows. "Well Jack, aren't you going to do something heroic? Save Jacklene? Possibly stop us from taking you?" I can barely stand I'm shaking so bad, I wasn't much good.
"Well, we need you here anyways. Jacklene, keep him company." They walk back into the shadows and disappear. Jacklene violently helps me into my room. She smirks. "Sleep well Jack." Then she leaves me to my room.
I can't sleep as usual. I sit up and think. She isn't supposed to be like this. How did this happen? Maybe when Pitch was holding her in the air. It's all my fault... It's all my fault... I feel something painful, I cluth my chest. It hurts so much, it feels like someone is driving a stick through my chest. I try not to scream, when I do scream, nothing comes out.
Then it stops, I feel fine. I look at my hands, they feel different, stronger. I get up and run to my bathroom, look into the mirror and I have completely changed. My hair is now black, my skin is a shade or two darker, and my eyes. They look... Yellow.
Why did my appearance change? I walk to my door, I try opening it and it opens. I thought I would be locked in.
Jacklene is leaning on her staff. "What took you so long?" She walks toward me. "The sun is coming up, I think we should leave before the guardians wake up." I nod.
We walk towards the globe, Jacklene says to me, "All those lights will go out soon, Jack." I turn to face her "By fear?" She nods. "We better leave now."
"Not so fast mate, where you going?" I turn around and Bunny was standing there. I'm pretty sure he saw our faces because he looked shocked. "Jack, what did you do?" I got angry, I was about to say something when Pitch came out of the shadows. "Oh what a pretty sight this is. Their precious guardian falls loyal to me."
