When I woke up in my room my back was healed and was better than before.  I got up of the floor, my blood was stained into the carpet.  I looked at the clock, I had fallen asleep for 3 hours.  I looked for the composition book, I found it on the other side of the floor.

I picked it up and opened it to the first page.  Inside it said "This notebook is to take the owner anywhere and at anytime in history."

"Rule 1: If you try to change history you will be ejected and lose a page from the book.

Rule 2: Your language will automatically change to the spoken language of the people around the owner.

Rule 3: The owner can ask for any amount of equipment from history or imagination, anything on the owner will go with the owner,  as long as it doesn't break Rule 1.

Rule 4: Write the location, time, or event that the owner wants to go and how long to stay.

Rule 5: Anything..."

"This can't be, what the hell is this shit."

Today was the day of my worst decisions, I opened the book to an open page and grabbed a pen.  I wrote down, Paris, France.  1 minute.  The beheading of King Louis XVI.

A blinding light erupted in my room and I was blinded.  When the light died down I was in a massive courtyard.  Hundreds of people in French Revolution Era clothes surrounded me.

I looked to my left and say a 20 foot guillotine.  The victim was an old fat man with a large white wig.  He had a lot of makeup on, I could tell he was King Louis.

He looked up at me and pleaded "Help Me, please."

As he spoke the guillotine blade was released.  The blade cut his head off and into a basket.  His beating heart pumped blood out onto the floor.  Blood went everywhere, I stumbled backwards and fell accidently kicking the basket.

The king's head flew in the air and landed in my lap.  The executioner walked over and picked the decapitated head that was still moving its muscles.  The man took the head and displayed it to the crowd and they cheered.

The light ounce again encompassed me and I was blinded.  When it died down I was home.  I felt so weak and I couldn't move, I was also covered in the blood of a long dead king.

I had been in France for 1 minute and was already scared for life.  I wonder, where to next?
