The End

The warm and humid air blew through the window. The sun rose from the east and glared into my room. The bright sun blinded me as I heard a stampede of horses charge in though the castle gates. No doubt they are from Ryuu asking for reinforcements. That's so like him to want Nobunaga to come and take the glory, what a kiss up.

A few minutes later the horses left and I could hear somebody running up the stairs to my room.

"General, Oda would like you to accompany him to honnoji temple."
" Tell Oda I'll be right down."

I had been watching my clock waiting for my trip to finally end. But it just now finally hit the 2 hour mark. Over the course of 5 years I completely forgot what was special about the day of my departure. I finally remembered, it was the day Oda Nobunaga dies.

***************************

2 weeks ago Ryuu left with the army to go invade Bitchu. I was ordered to stay, apparently Nobunaga doesn't want me out on the battlefield. Asika probably had some part in that.

Over the last year Ryuu became an outstanding general and everyone in the army truly respected him. Even Leyasu who is now under Ryuu. Everything was perfect until that day when Ryuu asked for reinforcements.

"I hate carriages, they are so uncomfortable. "
" You are welcomed to walk with that stupid cane. "
" Wow Nobunaga, what has you all pissed off today. "
" It has been one year since your warning at the meeting. Does that mean that you leave today? "
"... Yes it does, I am leaving very soon. "
" Is that why you have your swords with you? "
" I totally forgot I brought these. But yes, that is why I have them. "
" I understand. We should be at the temple very soon. "

I'll be home soon, back to that dull and meaningless life. I just hope I can bring Senshi and Murasame back with me. I want to remember this world, so I hope I at least can bring my swords.

30 minutes before I would leave, the carriage stopped in front of the temple. I stepped out and I saw the magnificent temple entrance. As I walked into the temple Nobunaga ' s personal guard shoved all the temple goers out.

The Odas and I picked the main shrine to pray at. As we kneeled down the sound of horses was far off. I pushed the sound to the back of my mind and prayed. I prayed for the wellbeing of everyone after I left. But most importantly I prayed for the forgiveness of Tsuyoi and Kira. I hadn't sincerely prayed like this since before I came here.

I rose from the ground and turned to see the bloody massacre. All of Oda's bodyguards were on the ground and bleeding out from their necks. The culprit Akechi Mitsuhide.

" Hello Hideyoshi! How are you today? Would you mind stepping away from those two? "

Nobunaga was a little behind me with his katana drawn, and Asika was behind him with a dagger.
I had one choice, to kill Mitsuhide. I grabbed Senshi no Hato and Murasame, and drew them from their seathes.

" Oh General, I don't want you dead. All though you are a pain in the ass. "

" I can't let you hurt them. I'd rather die than let you have your way. "

"So be it Hideyoshi. Get him. "

Four men charged at me, their katanas at the side. They slashed at me and I easily stopped the katanas from going any further. As they put more force behind their swords I slipped my swords off of theirs. They all fell to the ground and as they did I ran Murasame through their unprotected bodies. The poison from the cursed sword rushed through their bodies instantly, they were dead before they hit the floor.
