The place was noisy. People in white suits will appear in front of him every minute but he didn't notice them. Running in and out of the room he was staring at. His hands shaking and red color staining on his shirt . Dried tears making his face more gloomy. His head repeatedly thinking that period of time. His eyes repeatedly seeing the blood on Saifah's face.
"Nong.." As he was lost in his thoughts, he didn't hear someone calling him.
"Nong" The person put his hand on his small shoulder and slightly shook him.
He snapped and jolted from his seat, looking at the person wearing a green scrub. The former's face showed concern and it didn't help to weigh down any heaviness from Zon.
"Are you ok-"
"How is he?" He unintentionally interrupted, not having the patience to wait anymore.
"He's okay now. But it would take time for him to be conscious again since he has a high fever. But for now, don't worry anymore. He's fine."
Zon let out a long sigh, letting out all the breath that he's been holding in all the time.
"Thank you krub.." He said with a small weary smile.
"No need nong. It's our job. Anyways, take care of yourself, too. You look exhausted. Have some rest." The doctor sincerely said and patted on his shoulder before walking away, heading into a room.
As soon as the doctor left, Zon darted into a certain room.
No sooner did he enter the room than his heart stung again seeing the sight.
Tears brimming in his eyes, he walked slowly to the bed on which a tall young man was lying on. Sleeping peacefully.
Though his head was bandaged and his hands were injectioned, he looked peaceful.
Zon slowly sat beside the bed and stared at the senior as he reminisced some memories.
He put his hand on the bigger one, gently caressing it.
Now his anger for the elder is nowhere to be seen. As if it vanished in air like some random smoke.
All he wanted now was for Saifah to get better as soon as possible. All he wanted back was a smiley happy Saifah.
"Excuse me.."
He heard a voice from behind.
"These are the patient's properties." A girl wearing a light purple dress with a white cap handed him some clothes with some stuff on it.
Observing the things, Zon reluctantly took them. Something sparkly dropped from between the clothes, slipping under the bed. The nurse didn't seem to notice it and already stepped out of the room, not even giving a chance for the boy to say her a 'thank you'. She seemed to be in a hurry.
Zon stood up from the chair and bent down to see what was dropped. The second he saw what it was, his movements stopped for a moment. Guilt and agitation mixed.
Zon picked up the silvery bracelet and looked at it ever so dearly, palming it with both his hands. He has no idea how he had the nerves to break that thing apart from his wrist.
He thought..he thought it would be already in the trash by this time. But Saifah still kept it with him.
That night, when he gave it back to him, he was feeling sure that the senior would throw it away anyways. But he didn't.
He never looked back when Saifah called him. He didn't look at his face when they met today.
He didn't listen..
