"Hold this. And this. And don't lose those. These are fragile." Jay narrowed his eyes at me as he pointed to each of the stuff in my hands before walking off to his friends.

"Hold this, and this and this. And don't lose those." I mimicked in a mocking tone, carrying his stuff all the way to my locker.

"Don't lose what?" A voice said in my ear, making me jump and drop all of Jay's stuff. Oops. Did he say these were fragile? I'm sure he won't mind a few of his stuff broken...

I averted my eyes from the pile on the ground and behind me to see Jake curiously leaning against the lockers, a smug smile on his face.

When I said nothing and started to pick up the stuff from the floor, I felt Jake walk towards me and bend down to help. I froze, giving him a suspicious look.

"What? I'm helping." He said, taking the last remainings of Jay's stuff from the floor. He handed me the stuff and I continued to stare at him, not saying a word, which made him groan.

"Look, Connor might be my bestfriend, but I'm not a dick like he is."

"Uhuh..." I trailed off, still not convinced. Who knows, maybe he's hiding some sort of poison and he's trying to get me to trust him so I'd drink it someday, or maybe he fell and hit his head really hard.

"Stop looking at me like that. And a thank you would be nice." I finally snapped out of my trance as Jake spoke.

"This is weird, I'm going to class." I muttered before walking towards class. I sensed Jake's presence following me and I abruptly stop, turning around to face him.

"What?"

"What? We have class together."

Oh. Right.

"So... Jay's back?" He awkwardly asked as we walk to class.

"Yeah, haven't you seen him today?"

"Nah, he's probably with Connor right now." Okayyy... awkward silence is back.

Walking to class with Jake was the least thing I expected to happen today. He's always been so cold and distant. Why is he being nice? This is suspicious. Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

I walked around the corner to see Jay pinning a random girl to the lockers, most likely threatening her like he did yesterday. Her face was pale, as if she had just seen a ghost. I hurridly made my way over to them and shoved Jay away from the poor girl.

"Hey! The hell?!" He picked himself up from the floor, giving me time to help the girl. She looked up into my eyes and I instantly recognize her. She was the same girl Jay had been threatening for ages, something about lunch and banana and face.

"You okay?" I ignored my twin brother and offered her a hand.

"Y-Yeah..." She croaked out and willingly took my hand. It wasn't until I pulled her away from Jay that I noticed that Jake had followed me all the way here.

"Y/n!" Jay groaned as I led her away from him.

We made our way to an empty corner, the place where I like to visit when I want some peace and quiet all to myself.

"Sorry about my brother." I gave her a sympathic look and she faintly smiled at me.

"Yeah it's fine. Y/n right? I'm Jessica, you can call me Jess. And thanks for what you did back there."

"No problem, but I should probably head to class." With one final wave I headed off to class.

"You sure you won't need these?" I held up the books full of drawings and sketches in my hand.

"Nope, now get out before I throw you out." Ethan said, not bothering to take his eyes off the suitcase he's curently packing.

"Meanie." He stuck his tongue out at me childishly before I walked out the door to go downstairs.

I frowned when I went to the kitchen to open the fridge and saw nothing. I closed the door and waited for a while before opening it again. Still nothing.

"Food isn't just gonna magically appear, you know. We don't have a magic fridge." Jay shouted from the couch, looking agitated.

"I don't care!" I shouted back before closing the fridge and going back to my room.
