"Icekit! Over here!" Shouted the dark tabby kitten.
Icekit flung the moss ball over to her sibling, DarkKit. "Hey! Over here!" Their other sibling, Honeykit, a cream colored she-cat, was calling over to them.
DarkKit hooked the moss ball on his claw and flung it over to her missing her by a mile. It flung into Flowerpelt, one of the elders. "Hisssss!!" Flowerpelt hissed.
The kits shrunk in their pelts. "Can't you control that moss ball of yours flea-brains?!" She hissed at them
"we're sorry Flowerpelt." Honeykit apologized.
"So long as it doesn't happen again" the elder said as she stalked off.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!" The kits came out of the nursery.
"What could be happening?" Icekit mewed.
"I don't know maybe on of the apprentices are getting their warrior names." DarkKit said.
"Yeah probably" Honeykit responded.
"Icekit, DarkKit and Honeykit please step forward."
Icekit raised her eyebrows. Was their leader, Stormstar, going to scold them for bumping into Flowerpelt? Icekit immediately got scared. "DarkKit. From now on your name will be Darkpaw. Your mentor will be Flamewhisker." Stormstar said. Flamewhisker touched noses with Darkpaw.
"Honeykit. Your name will be Honeypaw for now. Your mentor will be Spotstripe." Honeypaw and Spotstripe touched noses.
"Icekit" Icekit stepped forward.
"From now on, your name will be Icepaw, and your mentor will be Thorntail."
Thorntail! He was such a great warrior! Thorntail and Icepaw touched noses. "Darkpaw! Honeypaw! Icepaw!"
The clan chanted. "We're apprentices! Didn't see that coming!" Honeypaw said.
"Neither did I!" Icepaw replied. Icepaw felt a sudden rush of excitement. She was an apprentice!
