Warrior Cats Book 1 Fading Light

Chapter 5

Icepaw woke up near moon high and saw a shadow slip by. That must be Thorntail Icepaw thought.

Icepaw slipped out of the den carefully avoiding the sleeping bodies of her fellow apprentices. She was so focused on not stepping on Honeypaw, reasons for her being a light sleeper, that she accidentally stepped on Redpaw.

"Schreech!!" She screamed. "What are you doing?!" Redpaw said. "Uh just going to the dirtplace..." Icepaw quickly lied.

"Whatever but when you come back in don't step on me again" she replied, easily buying her lie.

"I won't. Sorry Redpaw" she said as she slipped away quietly.

Icepaw saw Thorntail climb up the rocks of the camp easily, evading the guards. Icepaw jumped up onto the rocks and ran to jump to the next set. It really was easier than it looked.

As she got out of camp, she saw Thorntail disappear into the woods. She followed him.

After a while of following, she came across him meeting up with a couple other cats.

"Greetings. Sorry I'm late. I had to wait until every cat was asleep. Anyways, Ratheart, my apprentice saw you today. I made her believe you were an intruder and I took care of you. Lucky for us, that fool fell for it" he explained

Not good enough Thorntail! She thought.

"Anyways In a few moons, we will commence our attack on Windclan. Later, we will attack Riverclan. Then Shadowclan and finally Thunderclan. We will be recruiting more loners and rouges later so we won't be outnumber by the clans." Thorntail said as the rest of the cats nodded their heads in agreement.

"What if we can't get enough rouges Thorntail? Have you ever thought of that? There aren't enough to match the clans mousebrain!" The cat from Windclan said.

"How dare you call me a mousebrain! This will teach you will it not?" Thorntail said as he leaped off his paws in the air flying straight at the cat.

Thorntail unsheathed his claws as they made contact with the cats throat. Thorntail ripped his throat with his claws and the blood became a pool at his paws. The cats eyes clouded and soon they were nothing. With blood soaked paws Thorntail asked the rest of the cats "anyone else?"

A/N This was an intense chapter! As I was writing, with blood soaked paws instead of Thorn I wrote tiger! xD so kinda like Tigerstar! Maybe it's an omen that he's gonna be worse than Tigerstar. Idk we'll see :D as always thank you so much for reading and have a Great day :)
