The Path That Led To Darkness...

The Beginning

Beep...

Beep....

Beep.....

"This is bad, his body cant take anymore of this damage. If he keeps on getting hurt like this...he will die...even with the nine tails chakra..."

"You know how stubborn Naruto is, he won't give up until he finds Sasuke...even if it means throwing away his own life."

"And Sakura....she loves Sasuke, but sadly Sasuke doesn't feel the same way. They both need to realise that sooner or later..."

Naruto lay unconscious in the hospital, pipes hooked his chest, his abdomen, mouth and head. The sight of Naruto in this state was heartbreaking. Sakura was also unconscious but her wounds were not as bad as Naruto.

They had encountered Sasuke once again and this time Sakura was with him. Sakura had tried to talk Sasuke into coming back but her words were as useless aas ever to him, revenge had sunk it's claws deep into his heart. Sasuke was blinded by hatred, anger and revenge to the point whereby they could see no other emotion in his eyes what-so-ever. He just saw his former team mates as another obstacle distracting him from reaching his goal.

Kakashi hated seeing his students like this, vulnerable and weak. He hated seeing them defeated, he hated Sasuke for hurting them like this, but the thing he hated the most was seeing Naruto so torn... "Im sure Naruto knows that, but Sakura on the other hand does not.". Its like Sakura liked seeing Naruto hurt and defeated, like she wanted him to suffer, but deep down- Kakashi knew that Sakura was clueless to what she was doing to Naruto.

Naruto had been scared all his life, physically and emotionally. He didn't show it, but Naruto was far from the go-lucky, happy, carefree-knucklehead they all knew and Kakashi saw right through his facade. He knew Naruto better than any of his 'childhood friends', he knew him inside and out... (get your minds out of the gutter people..). The real Naruto was a near-emotionless kid. He showed little to no emotion at all, he had never let his mask fall when he was with his 'friends', but when he was with Kakashi he let it slip momentarily then quickly put it back on. Kakashi had wanted to confront him about it but everytime he tried it was like Naruto knew what he was going to say.

"I'll try to confront them about it, someone needs to burst their bubble and soon." Kakashi said with a stern voice. "Right, I'll leave you to it then." Tsunade turned her heel left the room. He just nodded and turned to his students...

*sigh*, "How am I going to tell this to them...particularly Sakura. The burden this promise Naruto made to Sakura is weighing a lot on Naruto and just makes this more complicated than it already is..." and with a final sigh, he left the room not taking notice of a certain someone's awareness.

Two weeks had passed since the incident, Sakura was active but not fully recovered and Naruto was doing okay. Kakashi thought it was the right time to talk to them since they were almost recovered. He walked to the hospital with his usual care-free expression. As he was about to walk into Naruto's ward, he heard two voices in there, A girl and Naruto himself.

Assuming it was Sakura, he was about to walk in but heard something...something that would change his entire approach to this situation...
