After walking out of Naruto's ward, leaving Naruto and Kakashi alone. Sakura wondered the hospital halls thinking of what had traspired. Not once had Naruto raised his voice at her but at that moment, Naruto was having none of it. She felt slightly angry that Naruto had shouted her but she knew what Naruto said was true. All of it. She knew that Sasuke was never coming back, she knew that Naruto was near his limit, she knew that Naruto was there for her even at her lowest, but all she did was push him away, tell him that she didn't need saving from him...but regardless, Naruto saved her anyway. He saved her so many times but never did she once ever thank him, not once did she acknowledge his efforts, she always needed help. That made her feel guilty somehow, letting everyone do everything while she just watched.
Sakura now walked outside the hospital seeing kids playing near the hospital gates. It was as lively as ever in the village. Two boys suddenly waved their hands with smiles on their faces. They were waving at at someone so Sakura looked up to see who they were waving at, she then saw a window where Naruto was smiling and waving back at them.
"He looks so happy...I wonder how he can keep a smile on his face like that..." Sakura said to herself. "I can't even handle the simple truth..." she smiled sadly. She thought back to what Kakashi said...
"The burden this promise Naruto made to Sakura is weighing a lot on Naruto and just makes this more complicated than it already is..."
She didn't know that Naruto was still keeping that promise, even though she told Naruto to drop it. She didn't know that it was affecting Naruto so much that he would raise his voice at her. He never raised his voice no matter how frustrated or angry he was.
"Dammit!" she shouted, punching a nearby tree, destroying it in the process. "Am I that weak?" Sakura thought, "Am I so weak that I have to depend on Naruto? What have I been doing for the past three years?!" She mentally scolded herself. "I promised myself that I would become stronger so I could bring Sasuke back! But I'm already depending on Naruto!". Sakura let out her frustrations on another tree. She punched the tree as tears threatened to spill out.
"And Sakura....she loves Sasuke, but sadly Sasuke doesn't feel the same way. They both need to realise that sooner or later..."
Those words made her frustration even worse. Did she even really love Sasuke? Or was it just a stupid little crush? She stopped as she noticed the mess she had made. She noticed tears running down her face. She laughed sadly then went back to her sad expression. She wiped her tears and started to cleean up, she picked up the big chunks of wood first clearing them out of her way.
She needed a distraction right now...
"Sakura? What are you doing in the forest?" a familiar voiced asked. "Just cleaning up here..." sakura replied sounding tired, "What are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be on a mission?" Sakura asked still not looking at the person. "That's none of your business! Anyway, do you need any help there?" the person asked. "I don't know...do I?", "Haha very funny, reverse phsycology won't work on me..." the person said helping Sakura lift the tree log.
"I never said I needed your help Ino Pig." Sakura said as they put the heavy log down "I can manage by myself thank you." "Yeah whatever Billboard Brow." Ino teased back. "By the looks of it, this tree took one hell of a beating, what did it ever do to you?", "It just happed to be nearby when I needed something to punch" Sakura shrugged, "That's cold, even for you..."
"It is...isn't it?" Sakura laughed.
Ino laughed as well. They both proceeded to clean as they teased eachother. Sakura really appreciated Ino for being here....
She really needed her friend right now....
