extra story pt. 3

"y/n?" akaashi calls out. it was already pretty late so you were already asleep. he had been doing extra work at uni, so he's been going home pretty late.

"huh, looks like she's asleep." he slowly closes the door behind him and put his bag down. he looks over your shoulder to find you sound asleep. he smiles and starts caressing your cheek.

"cute~" he thinks. you were sleeping on the far side of the bed, so there was a lot of space for him to lie down. you were woken up to rustling sounds beside you, but you weren't fully aware of what was going on.

you roll to the other side of the bed and feel someone there. "akaaaasheee," you slurred your words.

"oh, did i wake you up, darling? awe, i'm so sorry." he says in a soft voice as you lay your head on his chest. he starts playing with your hair and you bury your head more onto him.

"were you out.. no, home.. late... again..?" you said in a tired voice.

he responds with a simple hum and you nod. you were drifting back to sleep as he kept playing with your hair. he started to hum a tune that sounded really familiar. he slowly started singing the lyrics of the tune he was singing and it finally clicked.

"guess there is something, and there is nothing, there is nothing in between," his voice really made you feel at peace. you started singing with him on a whim.

"and in my eyes, there is a tiny dancer," he looks down on you, smiling. you both sang in a soft, quiet tone, your voices harmonizing naturally with each other.

"watching over me, he's singing,"

"she's a she's a lady, and i am just a boy.."

"he's singing, she's a she's a lady,"

"..and i am just a line without a hook.." you both continued. you both randomly paused for a bit, but he continued the song.

"oh, baby i am a wreck without you.." he sang and you listened as his sweet voice helped you drift to sleep.

"i need you here to stay,"

"i broke all my bones the day i found you.."

"crying at the lake.." you suddenly just fell asleep and akaashi felt all your weight drop against him.

"huh, she's back asleep, then." he mumbles.

"goodnight darling. i'll be here when you wake up. promise." he whispers as he too, falls asleep with you in his arms.
