"Keiji, where are you going?" Akaashi's mom walked in on him packing some of his stuff in his room. He was stuffing some clothes and other essentials in his school backpack, thinking it would be easier to go around places.
"Uh, no where, ma. Just seeing if these things could fit here." he wasn't able to make up lies on the spot since he's so honest.
"Why..? Are we going somewhere?" his mom continued. He shook his head and took all the stuff out.
"Hmm, seems like these won't fit.." he mumbled to himself. Confused, his mom turned around and left.
"Make sure you're not doing anything suspicious, Keiji!" she assured as she walked away. She closed the door behind her and Akaashi stood up to lock it. He put all the things back in his bag and zipped it up.
He thought of everything way before hand. He got Bokuto in this, too. He's been planning this out for weeks and now's the time to execute it. Weeks before, he called Bokuto and got in touch with him again.
-------------------------------
"Bokuto-san?? Hi, this is Akaashi!!" he exclaimed. There was a moment of silence and just pure breathing from the other line.
"AGASHEEEE, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!!" Bokuto screamed so loudly that Akaashi had to hold his phone away from his ear for a bit.
The two boys greeted each other and caught up with each other. They always had a special bond since they knew each other for so long, so it doesn't matter how long they didn't see each other, they can talk like nothing happened.
"Listen, Bokuto-san, I know this is random, but I need you to do me a big favour." Akaashi started.
"Anything, 'Kaashi. What is it?" Bokuto replied. Akaashi started to tell the reason of all this before telling him anything else.
"Ok, I know this is a lot, but bear with me." Akaashi started. Bokuto listened carefully as Akaashi continued.
"After we end the call, please tell you mom this too. Since I'm planning on going back by myself, I need a reason to do so. The one thing I could think of is to pretend that one of you is sick. Either you, your mom, dad, Tsuki, doesn't matter. I just need one of you to pretend to be sick. Don't tell Yamaguchi or Y/n. You can tell Tsuki, but tell him not to tell anyone else." he explained.
"If that works out, tell me who exactly is gonna pretend. I'm planning on leaving in a few weeks, so you can either tell me this week or next week. Make sure to keep everything on the down-low, got it?" he continued.
"You can leave everything to me. Well, not everything, but, you know what I mean. Anyways, I have to go but I'll make sure to notify you when I get someone to pretend, ok?" Bokuto assured.
"Thank you, Bokuto-san." Akaashi thanked Bokuto as he ended the call.
Bokuto contacted Akaashi a week after and told him his mom wanted to take part in whatever plan they had. Akaashi decided to tell his mom that Bokuto's mom was sick.
"Ma? Are you here?" he called out as he peeped his head in the kitchen to find his mom cooking dinner.
"Keiji? Whats wrong?" she asked.
"Remember Bokuto-san? He contacted me recently telling me that his mother was sick..? He was crying on the phone and he asked me if I was able to go back since his mom wanted to see me for the last time." he lied. His monotone voice comes in handy for times like this, since his voice is always so bland so it makes it harder for people to tell if he's lying or not.
His mom always believed Akaashi, so she was an easy target.
"Oh, that's horrible!! Of course you can, dear. Are you going by yourself, though????" she asked in a worried tone. He nodded, trying to look sad.
"Awe, alright, when do you plan on leaving-?" she asked.
"Do you think tomorrow is ok?" he said. His parents and Masumi's parents were literally loaded, so that was a bonus.
"Oh, sure honey. Please stay safe." she said in a sweet tone and he walked back to his room.
"What- that was easy- I was expecting it to be a bit more complicated but ok, sure." he thought.
-----------------------
'Tomorrow' came and he was rushing to leave. Both of his parents were out for work so it was just him. He decided to leave a note notifying them that he had already left. He honestly felt bad for doing this, but he would have done anything for you.
He headed to the airport back to Japan. Everything was so easy since he had Bokuto by his side. Bokuto agreed to let Akaashi drive his car to your place. It took about 9 hours to get to Japan and everything was already turning out well.
----------------------
By the time Akaashi arrived, it was already a bit past noon. Bokuto was already waiting for him and the car was ready and everything.
"Akaashi !!!!" the cheerful one screamed as he ran to give Akaashi the biggest hug.
"Ah, Bokuto-san, that was a bit too forceful." Akaashi said as he hugged Bokuto back. They both laughed and they got back on track.
Everything was going by so quickly. Little did Akaashi know, he was already in front of you place, telling you to get out and get in the car.
"AH, UH, UH, HE'S HERE, HE'S HERE." you panicked as you went out with only your phone and your keys. You went out the door and saw Bokuto's car and you instantly expected him to be there with Akaashi, but he wasn't. You opened the door to see only Akaashi in the driver's seat.
"AKAASHI-" he cut you off and gave you a stern look.
"Get in. Quick." he says.
