Vincent's P.O.V

I waited in the office for Y/n to arrive. I didn't want to look at the cameras as I wanted to save power, so I was relying on my hearing. This wasn't a big restaurant so in the quiet night it wasn't hard to pick up a sound from the other end.

To prove my point, I heard the faint sounds of footsteps from the end of the hall. I made my way down the halls to greet Y/n. Almost immediately I felt her bump into me and fall back, I grabbed her again and smirked at how flustered she was.

"This looks familiar," I remarked, staying in the position for a bit longer this time. "Do you plan on us meeting like this every night dear?"

"I was in a rush and didn't think you'd be walking down to me again," she said. "I don't know why you did, I know my way around here now."

"I was so excited to see you, I just couldn't wait~" I winked at her, she blushed and looked away. I decided I'd had my fun stood up, pulling her properly to her feet. Though I kept my hands on her waist.

As I pulled her up I noticed something on her cheek, something purple. It was hard to notice as it was hidden under makeup.

"What's that on your face?" I pointed to it, Y/n's eyes widened.

"I uh.. it's a birthmark..."

From the rushed tone in her voice I knew she was lying.

"I've never seen a violet birthmark before," I remarked, I licked my thumb and reached her cheek to wipe the makeup off and get a better look. As I made the gesture towards her, she flinched. "That's a bruise, isn't it?"

"Yes..." she sighed. I knew she was being truthful this time.

"Who did this to you?" I asked. "And don't say no one, I know someone's been hitting you - you wouldn't have flinched otherwise."

"I.." she bit her lip nervously.

The sound of the 12am bell went off, and we were still out in the hall. I grabbed Y/n's arm and pulled her into the 'safety' of the office. I then turned back to her.

"Well?"

"It was some people I had some beef with..." she sat down on the desk, I nodded, listening intently. "Their names are Shaun and Sinéad, I won't go into detail but we used to be super close friends, and then I told Sinéad a thing that I uh... have never told anyone before... and she went and told everyone else. So her and Shaun have been up my ass annoying me about it and today they just went one step too far..."

"No shit.." I muttered, I walked toward her and gently placed my thumb on her bruise, she flinched slightly, but relaxed when she realized I meant no harm. I brushed my thumb over it, thinking... "What school do you go to?"

"Saint Mary's," Y/n said. "There's like a bus that goes through here pass that school I'm pretty sure."

"I see..."

"Why do you ask?"

"Oh no reason," I shrugged, now it was my turn to lie. "Just curious."

Y/n nodded, she seemed to buy it.

I kept gently stroking her face, she stayed silent, I glanced at her to make sure she wasn't uncomfortable with what was happening - she didn't seem to be. The sound of running from the left hall pulled me from my thoughts. I ran to the left door and slammed it shut.

"That's on me for not looking at pirate cove," I turned to Y/n, shouting over the loud banging at the door. I turned around to the door and yelled. "I'm not opening it for you!"
