Your P.O.V

I found it strange to think how, just three hours ago, I'd been thinking to myself about how I wanted to have alone time with Vincent.

Now I was in Vincent's car with him as he pulled up outside his house, which I was going to be living in for at least the next while. I got out with him and stumbled slightly, I'd forgotten about my leg hurting.

"Easy there," I heard Vincent laugh and felt his arm snake around my waist and pull me into him. "You need to stay off that leg for a bit."

"I forgot it was hurting..."

"How did you forget it was hurting?"

"The excitement of everything, it kind of became the least of my worries I guess," I shrugged, Vincent smiled and helped me inside. He lead me into his house and brought me to the couch.

"I'll go and get your suitcase for you," he said, I nodded, he left and came back with the suitcase in his hand, he put it down. "I'll put it upstairs later.."

He approached me and sat next to me, I was laying down on the couch now, the tiredness I'd felt this morning that I'd forgotten about in all the excitement was returning to me. I let out a yawn.

"Forgot you were tired too?"

"I did actually," I gave him a tired smile, I felt my eyelids beginning to droop.

"You should get some sleep," I felt Vincent picking me up bridal style, I suddenly jerked upright, another pain shot through my leg, Vincent smirked. "Relax, I'm only taking you upstairs to your bedroom."

"Okay, sorry," I sighed, I relaxed again. "Force of habit."

I saw a brief look of sadness on his face but it was gone so quick I thought I'd imagined it. He placed me down onto a bed in what I assumed was the guess room. I pulled the blanket over myself and relaxed.

"I'll go and get your suitcase," Vincent said, I saw him leave the room and almost instantly came back again with my suitcase. He placed it down at the end of my bed. "You can unpack it later, right now you need some sleep."

"You can say that again," I yawned, I looked up at Vincent to see he was smiling at me. "Thank you so much for this."

"Hey, don't mention it," Vincent walked towards me and moved a bit of hair that was falling onto my face behind my ear. I smiled to myself, this was the safest I'd ever felt in all my eighteen years of life. "You get some sleep now."

I felt him plant a kiss on my forehead. Before I could register what'd just happened, I drifted off to sleep.

Vincent's P.O.V

I jumped back from Y/n, feeling myself begin to blush, had I really just done that? I looked at Y/n to see she was fast asleep, I sighed in relief. Maybe she was too tired to notice I'd done it, maybe she'd wake up and just think it was a dream.

I took one last glance at Y/n before leaving the room, even with bruises and a slightly swollen eye she was still beautiful. I quietly closed the door behind myself, deciding I'd wake her up in two hours to bring her some lunch.

I made my way down to the living room and sat down on the couch, I started flicking through the channels, trying to decide what to watch. Chances were Y/n was going to be sleeping for a while. Eventually I found a show that I liked and started watching it.

~~~
After about an hour of watching random television shows I heard screaming coming from Y/n's room, I stood up immediately and bolted upstairs. I swung the door open and saw her sitting upright, a look of terror on her face.
"Y/n are you okay???"
She relaxed when she saw me and layed back down, I walked up to her and sat on the side of her bed, looking down at her.
"Yeah I'm fine," she rubbed her eyes. "Just had a bad dream."
"You scared me," I half laughed. "I thought you'd hurt yourself."
Y/n sat back up again, she moved closer to me and wrapped her arms around my shoulders, without warning I felt her kiss my cheek. I stiffened up and felt my face redden, before turning to her.
"What was that for?" I asked, gingerly placing the tip of my fingers on where her lips had just been.
"For earlier," she said casually. "I just wanted to return the favour."
"Yeah sorry about that," I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. "I don't know what came over me-"
"It's fine," she shrugged. "If it makes you feel any better, I kind of liked it."
"Damn, where's all this sudden confidence come from?" I remarked, trying to hide my blush with my hair.
"Where'd yours go?" she retorted. "Look at you all shy, it's hard to believe you were the same confident guy I met just a few days ago."
"Shut up," I playfully shoved her. "I'm not sure how I feel about this sudden role reversal."
"I for one enjoy it," she smirked. "Also, you should have your hair down more often."
My eyes widened, I hadn't even noticed it was down.
"I hadn't notice it was down," I half laughed, Y/n laughed and let go of me.
"Well, you should keep it that way," she said.
"Why should I?"
"I recall you saying you'd do anything for me," she pointed out.
"Damn, you got me there," I sighed. "Fine, I'll wear it down to work tonight."
"Deal," she said.
"Deal."
Your P.O.V
I didn't know what had come over me with the sudden burst of confidence, but it was for sure starting to fade now. I felt myself beginning to blush at what I'd just done.
"Anyways, now that you're up would you like to have some lunch?"
"Sure," I smiled, glad of the change of topic. After a nightmare like that I knew I wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon.
Vincent helped me out of bed and lead me downstairs, before sitting me down at the kitchen table.
"We need to get a proper look at that leg," Vincent mumbled, frowning slightly, he looked up at me and his signature smirk came back. "What would you like?"
"I don't really know," I shrugged. "I don't really eat lunch, the school cafeteria is disgusting."
"There's never been a nice school cafeteria," Vincent responded. "The fact you have to pay for it as well - complete rip off."
"Couldn't agree more."
Vincent turned around and opened the fridge.
"I'll make you what I like," Vincent said.
"Just a heads up, I'm lactose intolerant," I said.
"That's fine," Vincent responded.
I watched him begin to busy himself with making food, a look of upmost concentration on his face.
This man right in front of me had done so much for me. He listened to my complaining about Shaun and Sinéad, he came all the way to my house just to check if I was okay, he was letting me live with him for as long as I need to, he'd taken so much care of me and had been so patient with me. There were times I wasn't completely honest with him, but he didn't judge for me that. He'd done nothing but help me. If it weren't for him I would've still been stuck at my old home. In just the few days of knowing him, he'd improved my life so much.
The inevitable had happened.
I had fallen for Vincent.
