Chapter 9: Alec.

Kat's P.O.V.
Chapter 9.

"He's just like you!" Alec exclaims with a slight laugh. I smile as Alec glances at me.

"Does he also like chocolate cake?" Alec asks as I nod.

"Good, because we have some catching up to do and I want some cake." He says as he stands up. I smile and stand.

"Come on Ayden." I state as he nods.

"I'll be back guys!" I call out. I pick up Ayden and head to Alec's car. We arrive at Applebee's and head inside were we're guided to a booth.

"Do you folks know what you're having to drink?" The waitress asks.

"A coke for me." Alec says as she nods before looking at me.

"A sprite and one lemonade." I state as she nods before smiling and leaving.

"First waitress to ever smile at me when I'm with you." I muse causing him to laugh.

"Have you seen me? Of course their jealous." He says as I scoff.

"Cocky much?" I ask as he smirks.

"Just stating the truth." He says with a wide grin as I roll my eyes and throw my rolled up napkin his way. He raises a brow before aiming it back my way. I laugh lightly as Ayden glances at Alec.

"Are you also my uncle?" He asks as Alec smiles and glances at me.

"Something like that." He says as Ayden looks at him curiously.

"Are you good at anything, because Tia is just pretty." He states as I chuckle along with Alec.

"I play guitar." Alec offers as Ayden smiles.

"Like Uncle Bryan and Mike?" He asks happily as Alec nods.

"I like you." Ayden decides causing me to laugh and Alec to smile.

"Well, that's good to know." He says as the waitress sets down our drinks. I smile at her as she takes our food order.

"So what's up with TJ?" Alec asks me as I take a sip from my soda. I raise a brow before swallowing the soda and glancing up at him.

"What do you mean?" I ask him as he laughs slightly.

"He was throwing daggers my way the whole time I was there." Alec states as I sigh.

"We never went out, but he hooked up with a girl less then a week after me and got her pregnant so... not much to say." I tell him as he rolls his eyes.

"Guessing that didn't set right with you." He mused as I smirk.

"You think?" I ask sarcastically.He sighs and leans closer, resting his elbows on the table.

"Well, personally I think he's an idiot for sleeping with anyone after sleeping with you. I mean, damn." He says as I gasp and slap his arm.

"Alec, shut up." I say with a slight laugh.

"I state the truth babe." He says with a wink. I roll my eyes and take another sip of my drink before clearing my throat.

"So what's up with your love life?" I ask him and glance at Ayden who was drawing on a paper menu. I smile at the sight and look back at Alec who sighs.

"Well, I broke up with Jen like six months ago." He says as I raise a brow.

"Why?" I ask him. Jen and him were a good match, at least it seemed like they were.
