Chapter 29: Listen.

TJ's P.O.V.
Chapter 29.

With a sigh I bring my fist up to the wood door. It seems like minutes pass before the door opens and reveals Kat. She raises a brow as I clearly my throat.

"Can I come in?" I ask as she steps back and motions me to enter the house. I glance around taking in the giant house. It looked elegant and out of a magazine.

"What are you doing here?" She asks me as I look at her.

"We need to talk." I state as she raises a brow. Her brothers were both gone, I had checked before coming. They had gone to visit the Green twins, taking Mary and Ayden along. The kids were now a month old and Kat was said to give birth any day now.

"About?" She asks as she slowly sits down on the couch.

"Everything." I state simply as I sit across from her. She nods once as I clear my throat.

"I was drunk the day I met Rose, and I made a mistake." I start as she sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose.

"I really don't want to hear this." She mutters as she starts to stand up though I quickly move.

"No, I have kept this in for a long time and you will listen to me." I state as she looks at me with big eyes before slowly sitting down. I help her before sitting back down.

"I didn't want to do it, it just happened. I regretted it the second it happened Kat. I liked you, I've always liked you Kat. Rose was just a mistake." I state as she sighs.

"But it happened TJ! You slept with her and she had your kid!" She exclaims as I stand up.

"She wasn't mine!" I yell at her causing her to stop talking a stay quiet.

"Rose tried to hide it, kept saying the results hadn't came in. I found the letter in a book." I muse as she sighs.

"I'm sorry TJ." She mutters.

"Kat, I don't want to go on pretending that what we had wasn't real, I know what I felt." I state as she gulps and looks down at her hands.

"Alec died a bit over two months ago, I don't-I can't do this." She stutters out as I nod.

"I know, and I'll wait Kat, until you're ready. I love you enough to wait Kat." I mutter as she looks at me.

"How do I know you won't do it again TJ. That you won't get drunk and sleep with someone or actually knock someone up?" Kat asks me. She looked confused though she also seemed to be contemplating it.

"I won't, I swear I won't Kat, I would never hurt you." I state as she looks me in the eye, her brows scrunched up in confusion.

"You already did." She mumbles lowly.

"Kat-." I start though she cuts me off as she stands up, with a bit of a struggle.

"I didn't find out from you TJ, someone else had to tell me. You didn't tell me, you literally showed up at my house with Rose and couldn't even warn me!" She shouts as I open my mouth to speak only to be cut off by her.

"No, you're going to listen TJ. Do you know how that felt? To basically have her rubbed in my face, in my home!" She yells at me with a glare.

"You think it didn't hurt to see you and Alec together? I saw you happy with him, I saw it everyday!" I yell at her.

"Well then maybe you should of left my house, and never invited your girlfriend over." She mutters as I groan.

"We were together for a week!" I exclaim as she shrugs.

"Damn it Kat! When will you fucking realize that I only want you! I don't care about anyone else!" I yell at her as she opens her mouth to speak only to gasp lowly and clutch her stomach.

"Kat?" I ask in worry as she groans before her hand shoots out and clutches mine.

"Sometimes wrong." She mutters lowly as she gasps in pain.

"Alright, ok, uh let's just go to the hospital ok?" I ask her as she nods. I help her get to my car and rush to the hospital. The doctors rush her away as I grab my phone and call Bryan.

"Hello." He answers as I gulp.

"Bryan, Kat's in the hospital." I muse.

"What? Why? Is it the baby?" He asks me.

"I think so, I don't know." I mutter as he curses lowly before sighing.

"Which hospital?" He asks.

"Summerlin." I state before the line goes dead. Half an hour later both Mike and Bryan had shown up with Ayden, no news of Kat ever coming to me.

"How is she?" Mike asks as Bryan sets Ayden down on the floor.

"They haven't said anything." I mutter as Bryan heads to the front desk and starts to talk to the nurse. A few minutes later he walked to us with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"The baby flipped over and got wrapped in her own umbilical cord, it started to constrict her airway." Bryan states as Ayden looks at him in confusion.

"Is my sister okay Uncle Bryan?" He asks Bryan who nods and ruffles the kids hair.

"They're going to prep for a C-Section." Bryan tells us just as a doctor walks to us.

"The baby girl is loosing air function little by little, we're operating now, Mrs. Money would like her brothers with her." The doctor states as they look at each other before glancing at Ayden who was standing quietly next to his uncle.

"I'll stay with him, you guys should go." I state as they nervously glance at one another.

"You sure?" Mike asks taking a step towards the Doctor, ready to go help his youngest sister.

"Go." I urge causing them both to turn and follow the doctor towards the big double doors.

"Come on kid, let's go get some food." I state as Ayden nods. I place a hand on his shoulder and guide him to the cafe. Half an hour later we where back upstairs waiting for any news, Craig and Robert both sitting in empty chairs.

"There you are, where were you?" Craig asks me as Ayden heads to Robert and high fives him.

"Getting food, any news?" I ask them as they shake their heads.

"Mike just came out to inform us that it was an emergency C-Section." He mused as I nod.

"What happened?" Robert asked me as Ayden played Candy Crush on his phone.

"She just said something was wrong so I brought her here." I tell them as Robert raises a brow.

"Why where you with her?" He asks as Craig chuckles.

"Doesn't matter, she's safe, along with that little girl." He states as Robert shrugs and glance at Ayden.

"Oh look, you got a Sugar Crush!" He exclaims as Craig rolls his eyes. Minutes later Bryan had walked out, back in his normal clothes.

"They're fine." He states as Craig and Robert both sigh.

"Thank God." Robert mutter a relieved look on his face. I noticed how much everyone seemed to worry about Kat, she really was a sister to everyone.

"Can we see them?" Craig asks as Bryan nods and motions us to follow him. Ayden runs in front of us, ready to see his sister as I linger in the back.

"Thanks for helping her." Bryan mutter as I nod.

"Anytime." I mumble as he nods and heads to Ayden, guiding him to the correct room so he can meet his younger sister.
