Blood, Blood, and More Blood

Miranda came through the ER doors with the twins holding each of her hands and her jacket soaked in tears.
"Miranda baby calm down he is in an OR, Meredith and Richard is working on him."
"Calm down, calm down, you want me to calm down when my son has been shot by some no good gang bangers that did a drive by at the freaking mall" Miranda shouted at Ben with even more tears.
"Ok fine don't calm but give me the kids so I can take them to daycare and I've already paged Callie" Ben said while he kissed her forehead.
Ben took the kids and about three minutes later Callie was in the ER with Miranda.
"Miranda come in let's go to the attending's lounge" Callie said as she grabbed Miranda's hand.
Miranda followed Callie and when they got into the lounge Callie made some coffee.
"Miranda what the hell happened."
"Apparently Tuck's friends told Ben that some dudes from a gang had rolled up to the mall with a gun and just shot at random places and Tuck just happen to be there." Miranda said as she wiped her eyes.
"Wow that's awful Miranda, this world is a scary place."
"I know Callie this honestly sucks not knowing what's going on and now I understand what our patients relatives go through."
Meanwhile Ben had dropped the kids off at daycare and went into the OR gallery to check on Tuck.
"Warren you know you're not supposed to be here" Richard said as he was suctioning for Meredith.
"Yeah I know I just wanted to give Miranda an update."
"Ok that's fine but leave soon and tell Miranda not to worry, Tuck is in great hands and is doing great."
Ben walked out of the gallery and all of the sudden Tuck just started gushing blood out of his abdomen, Richard and Meredith looked at each other and started yelling all sorts of things to the scrub nurses.
"Grey you know we can't loose him because if we do Miranda might kill us as well."
"Well I'm trying to save him Richard but there is blood coming from everywhere but no source" Meredith said as she searched around in his body.
Blood just kept coming out and there was more going out than in his body, both of the surgeons worked very hard to stop the bleeding but there wasn't much more they could do.
"Damn it Richard how in the world did this happen, he was fine just 10 minutes ago, we had the bleeding under control and then bam blood from everywhere" Meredith said shedding a tear.
"Meredith I would have done the same thing, it just happens sometimes and I'm this case it just happened to be the most respected surgeons son in this hospital."
"Well we need to go tell Bailey and Ben" Meredith said while wiping her eyes.
Meredith and Richard were walking out of the OR when they heard a beep, they looked at each other then to the monitor. He still had a heart rate.
"Bohkee, I need you to push one of epi and get some more blood asap" Meredith screeched.
The two surgeons started where they left off and he stopped bleeding, they removed the bullet, stitched him back up, and rolled him to a room. Once they found Ben and Miranda they explained what happened and they all broke out into tears.
"Thank you both so much, I am just happy he is alive and can't wait to see him" Miranda said as she held Ben's hand.
"Just let him rest a few more hours and you'll be able to see him" Richard exclaimed as he patted Miranda's shoulder.
-3 hours later-
Miranda and Ben walk in to Tucks room to see how he is doing.
"I would have never thought to see my son hooked up on all these tubes" Miranda said laying her head on on Ben's shoulder.
"I know baby, but you know they want stay in for long."
"Yeah and I want to apologize for earlier for yelling at you when we first got here, I was just really scared and was focused on one thing."
"Don't apologize honey, you reacted and I can't be mad at you for something that was so scary for you." Said Ben as he rubbed her back.
"Why were you so calm through this whole thing" Miranda asked as she sat on the couch.
"Well I wasn't I was beyond pissed before you got here and let out my rage in an on call room but I knew once you got here I had to be brave for the both of us."
"Honey you didn't have to do that but thank you for being so calm with me."
"Oh it's nothing I've definitely had to put up with a lot more of your shi..." Ben was interrupted by a deep voice.
"Are you Mr and Mrs Warren" this deep voice asked.
"Yes and who are you" Ben asked while walking towards the door.
"I'm officer Daniels but I came here to tell you your son's DNA was found on a firearm at the crime scene and we need to ask him a few questions."
"That can't be possible he was the one who was shot" Miranda fired back.
"Yes we know that but apparently Tuck was apart of a gang and would meet at the mall with his group and hangout. We also found out that one of the older members from the gang gave him a firearm and he probably hid it from you guys in one of his nightstand drawers." Officer Daniels said to Ben and Miranda.
"He's right mom, I was apart of a gang but we just drove around and hung out at the mall and yes one of the guys did give me a gun but I never shot or hurt anyone with it." Tuck said with a raspy voice.
"What in the hell were thinking being part of a gang and bringing a gun in the house, what if one of your brothers got a hold of it and shot themselves what would you have done then, huh, huh." Miranda asked putting a hand on Tucks thigh.
"Ok Miranda, it's ok but can I say one thing." Ben asked putting his hands on her shoulders.
"What Ben."
"I got you." Ben asked while he walked in front of her.
"What are you talking about." Miranda asked with an eyebrow raised
"I pranked you really good."
"Ok I'm very very mad but super impressed at the same time, how the heck did you do this."
"I'll explain later cause it's a long story." Ben said with a wink.
Ben thanked everyone who was involved in the prank and got tuck out of the hospital gown and took him home. By the time they had got home it was almost 12:00 o'clock.
"You know I have thought about and that prank was mean so I am not talking to you right now and me and the person in my womb are going upstairs to sleep in our comfy bed while you sleep on the couch." Miranda explained to Ben.
"Wait what I thought you were fine with it earlier what changed."
"It was a mean prank, you got me thinking that our son was in a gang and got shot and don't even try to tell me that your sorry because even if you are I don't care."
"Ok Miranda good night." Ben scoffed.
"Yeah goodnight Ben."
Couple hours had passed and Ben was asleep but heard a noise come from upstairs, he walked up there to find Miranda curled in a ball crying to her self.
"Miranda are you ok." Ben asked rubbing his eyes.
"Go away, I don't want to talk to you right now you selfish man." Miranda replied while bawling her eyes out.
"Look you don't have to talk to me but I am your husband and I'm gonna comfort you when you're hurt."
Ben got in bed behind Miranda and held her until she stopped crying.
"Baby I am so sorry I don't know why I thought that would be funny." Ben said as he stroked his wife's hair.
"Yeah ok I forgive but I'm still mad at you."
"I don't care as long as you forgive me babe, love you."
"Love you to I guess." Miranda said as she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
"Miranda wake up, you're talking in your sleep." Ben said as he shook her.
"Oh god what was I saying."
"It sounded like you were saying I love you to I guess."
"Oh wow, yeah I just had the craziest dream it was so weird, we had been married for at least 10 years and had 3 kids, I was also pregnant and you decided to play this prank on me that our son got shot and I got like super upset with you and a lot of other stuff happened that I don't remember." Miranda replied back with a confused face.
"Well dang that was really weird, anyways goodnight."
"Goodnight to you to." Miranda said.
Miranda thought this was definitely a weird dream considering that Ben was a one night stand.
