Sarah sat in the back of the car as it drove through their suburban area. The trees seemed greener than usual and the sky more radiant than ever. She looked back in the car and saw a police officer driving with Sarah's father, Scott, in the passenger seat. She turned a little more and saw her younger sister, Cassie, asleep in the seat next to her. Sarah smiled and looked out the window again, just glad to be going home after a crazy couple of weeks.
They finally pulled up at their house, where Sarah's mom, Hank, and Hope were already waiting on the front lawn. Guess they got there before the rest of them. Everyone piled out of the car, while the policeman drove away, and gave each other the tightest hugs in the world. There were many tears to go along with the warm hugs and welcome-backs. In the end, everyone hugged everyone, probably more than once.
"Alright, everyone," Sarah's mom announced, "pizza is going to be here really soon. I got a bunch of different kinds because I have no clue what everyone likes. Anyways, go wash up and be ready in 10 minutes!"
Cassie practically bolted into the house, with Hope and Hank quickly following behind, mainly trying to make sure Cassie doesn't do anything reckless. Sarah's stepfather and mom quickly followed them, knowing that somehow, Cassie will get into trouble.
Scott and Sarah just stared at the house. For Scott, it had felt like 5 years since he had been home. For Sarah, it was just nice to see it in one piece after the hectic times they just faced. They walked into the house together, finally being able to call themselves a "family" again.

August sat down on the other side of the glass panel, waiting for his dad to arrive. He tapped his foot anxiously as he looked around. He saw lovers, siblings, and parents talking to their significant other from between the glass, phones up to their ears and pressing their hands against the glass, wishing they could touch.
A buzz made August jump as his dad walked up to the glass. His dad sat down and picked up the phone next to him; August did the same.
"How's it going, Gus?" August's father asked.
August shrugged. "Could be better."
His father chuckled. "Yeah, it sure could be."
"I don't get it, Dad. Why are you in prison? What happened?"
August's father looked around at the guards before turning back to his son. "Listen, August. I have two important things to tell you." August leaned in closer, even though that would not change how loud the sound came from the phone. "One: you, as my greatest, and only, son, will take over my company."
August fell back in his chair shocked. "Really?! I'm... I'm gonna run Cross Technologies?"
His father nodded and smiled. "That's right. It's all yours. I mean, I can't run a company as a supposed "criminal." I have informed my... well, your business partners, and they will help teach you the ropes of the company."
August couldn't believe it. His dreams were finally coming true. "I just wish you were there to see me, Dad," he responded, "I want to make you proud."
"And you will," his father comforted, "you will. As long as you do this second thing for me."
"What is it?" inquired August.
His father gripped the phone a little tighter. "There is a family, the Langs. They tried to sabotage me, and then framed me. They are the reason I am in this prison."
August gripped the phone tighter as well. "Why? Why would they do this?"
"Because they wanted control of my company. But, now that you run it, I need to you to do one thing for me..."
"Anything you need," August replied.
Darren smiled. "... make sure the Lang family pays for what they did."
